Senior Java Software Engineer

Strong written/verbal communication skills

·       Minimum 5+ Years of Core Java Programming with Collections Framework, Concurrent Programming, Multi-threading (Good knowledge in Executor service, Fork joins pool and other threading concepts)

·       Good knowledge of the JVM with an understanding of performance and memory optimization.

·       Extensive and expert programming experience in JAVA programming language (strong OO skills preferred).

·       Excellent knowledge on collections like, Array List, Vector, LinkedList, HashMap, Hash Table, HashSet is mandate.

·       Exercised exemplary development practices including design specification, coding standards, unit testing, and code-reviews.

·       Expert level understanding of Object-Oriented Concepts and Data Structures

·       Good experience in Database (Sybase, Oracle or SQL Server) like indexing (clustered, non-clustered), hashing, segmenting, data types like clob / blob, views (materialized), replication, constraints, functions, triggers, procedures etc.

• Participate in requirements analysis and design 
• Development of Web applications and RESTful APIs using C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, .NET Framework 4.7, C#, ASP.NET MVC, LINQ, Entity Framework 6.0, EF Core
• Development of Microservices using Clean Architecture, CQRS, .NET Design Patterns, SOLID Principles and Object-oriented design & analysis (OOA & OOD)
• Development of Microservices using Microsoft Azure or AWS, Dockers and Kubernetes
• Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages (C#)
• Write Microsoft SQL queries and optimize both external and internal DB processes and procedures.
• Use automation tools, following CI/CD best practices in an established DevOps team.
• Write unit and integration tests using Moq
• Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture
• Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support

Purpose of the Job:

The Developer will be part of a cross-functional Scrum team responsible for designing, developing, and testing diverse features of Airtel Payments Bank agile stream. Payments bank values software engineers who are motivated, creative, passionate and positive. You must be comfortable working closely with others and have solid communication skills. Software engineers who learn quickly and have strong technical skills will thrive at Airtel Payments Bank. You must have considerable experience with object-oriented programming and should be familiar with design patterns, data structures, database and other staples of practical software development

Key Deliverables :

• Research, design, implement and managing software programs

• Identify the areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently developing these modifications

Skills Required:

• Should have experience of working on Core Java/J2EE & OOPS concept
• Should be well versed with Spring/Struts & Apache Camel (OSGI Framework)
• Should have a good understanding of Hibernate and Other ORMs
• Technical design, implementation, deployment, and support.
• Perform development and unit testing, working closely with Business.
• Web Service (SOAP/REST) , Maven
• Build tool such as Jenkins
• Caching Technique(Radis, Hazlecast, aerospike)
• Database Knowledge - Oracle, MySQL

Qualification: Technical background (BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering or related discipline/experience)

Required Technical Skills: 

• Java (highly capable)

• Strong knowledge of software best practices, build processes, IDEs, database tools (e.g. SQL Developer, SQL Management Studio)
• Strong knowledge of source code control systems (GIT)
• Confident with Windows, Linux, Unix operating systems including command line
• Working knowledge of JIRA

Education 

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or Engineering or other relevant discipline (MCA, MSc in Computer Science etc.)

Required Skills

• Proficiency in CS concepts such as Data Structures, Algorithms and Operating systems.
• More than 2 years of experience in a development Team with very good knowledge and hands-on experience using Java technologies.
• Knowledge of Java MVC Framework Spring MVC / Spring Boot.
• Good SQL and NoSQL skills
• Knowledge of/experience developing Web APIs using RESTFUL services.
• Deep expertise in at least one programming language & tech stack to write maintainable, scalable, unit-tested code - preferably Java.

Good to Have

• Strong object-oriented design skills, knowledge of design patterns, and an uncanny ability to design intuitive module and class-level interfaces.
• Participation in open source projects.
• Active involvement in solving problems on Github, Stackoverflow and similar other community groups
• Hands on experience on PubSub patterns such as Kafka / RMQ
• Experience with full life cycle development in any programming language on a Linux platform

Responsibilities and Duties

• Should understand and have knowledge on the application security practices/vulnerabilities.
• You will write performant, unit-tested code, develop object-oriented models and design data structure for new software projects taking systems aspects into account.
