Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, Code, test, debug, implement and document complex WSO2 sequences.
• Monitoring and logging tool stacks - Splunk/ELK/Prometheus, Grafana 4 Design, Code, test, debug, implement and document complex WSO2 sequences.
• Perform Build activities for WSO2 ESB Middleware integration, involves writing XSLT, ESB coding, configuration, and Analysis activities.
• Trouble shooting various problems in different stages of development using logs files, Traces and Log Analyzer.
• Responsible for understanding the requirement, solution design, coordinate the development and testing activities (end to end)
• Guide the team regarding WSO2 platform best practices, framework, reusable artefacts and ensure code quality and timely deliverables.
• Work with functional and technical customers to determine solutions that drive additional business value.
• Work with Github, Azure Devops and CI tools to automate dev, build, deployment and testing.
• Good knowledge in messaging brokers: WSO2 Message Broker, Apache Kafka.
• Monitoring the server (Monitoring logs and WSO2 metrics).

• Candidate must have minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in WSO2, preferably with WSO2 certification.
• Extensive experience in Integration by using WSO2 Product Stack (API Manager 2.6/3.x, Enterprise Integrator 6.5 and Identity Server 5.7.0)
• Experience in Implementing APIs in WSO2 EI and On-boarding APIs into WSO2 API Manager
• Experience in WSO2 API Manager for designing API facades and designing and implementing API Proxies.
• Hands-on experience in designing and developing high volume web services using API Protocols and Data Formats (REST, JSON, SOAP & XML).
• Must have hands on experience / knowledge with CI tools to automate dev, build, deploy.
• Experience in programming languages: Java, JavaScript, Python
• Experience in on boarding web applications into WSO2 Identity Server for authentication and authorizatio

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or a related four-year degree.
•        4 years of hands on experience in Integration

Job Overview:

We are seeking a proficient Ruby on Rails Developer who brings strong object-oriented programming (OOP) principles, an API-first approach, and experience building scalable applications. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with modern frontend frameworks, integrating APIs, and contributing to robust, maintainable, and performant backend systems. Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus. Exposure to other backend languages like Python, Go, or Elixir is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

● Design, build, and maintain scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails.

● Apply OOP principles and design patterns to ensure maintainable and modular codebases.

● Build and maintain RESTful and GraphǪL APIs to support frontend and external integrations.

● Collaborate with frontend teams to ensure seamless integration with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, etc.).

● Write clean, efficient, and secure code following best practices in performance, testing, and documentation.

● Ensure the system is scalable and performant, capable of handling large-scale data and user interactions.

● Participate in code reviews, system architecture discussions, and continuous improvement processes.

● Work in agile teams, using CI/CD pipelines and version control effectively.

● Implement containerized services and deployments using Docker and optionally Kubernetes.

● Actively contribute to technical decision-making, mentoring junior developers, and maintaining high engineering standards.

Required Skills & Ǫualifications:

●Strong hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails and solid understanding of Ruby language constructs.

● Sound knowledge of OOPs concepts, SOLID principles, and design patterns.

• Proven experience building and maintaining APIs (RESTful and/or GraphǪL).

● Comfortable working with frontend developers and integrating with modern frameworks (React, Vue, etc.).

● Experience working on scalable, production-grade systems.

● Familiarity with SǪL and ActiveRecord, performance tuning, and caching strategies.

● Version control expertise using Git and experience with code review workflows.

● Strong hands-on experience with TDD using RSpec and a clear understanding of testing strategies.

● Comfortable with debugging, profiling, and monitoring production systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

● Exposure to Docker and basic container orchestration with Kubernetes.

● Experience with background job processing (Sidekiq, Resque).

● Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, and infrastructure-as-code practices.

● Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools for backend services.

● Experience working in a microservices or service-oriented architecture (SOA) setup.

● Working knowledge of additional backend languages such as Python, Go (Golang), or Elixir.

● Understanding of security best practices in web development and API design.

● Familiarity with service observability, logs, metrics, and tracing tools

Project Management

• Work with the product management team to create an engineering roadmap that aligns with the product roadmap. 
• Translate engineering roadmap into executable internal projects, and own the end-to-end execution of these projects.
• Plan, execute and deliver projects as per schedule, content, and quality metrics.
• Manage the day-to-day activities of the engineering team using Agile practices.
• Keep stakeholders continually updated on the progress of projects and operations.
• Track and report engineering health metrics (such as bugs by severity, production incidents etc.)

People Management

•  Hire and mentor a team of engineers
•  Manage learning and development, and performance of your team.
•  Own, Conceptualize and Build a tech-focused team

Technical Work

•  Core stakeholder to all technical design and architecture of team.
•  Review code, test plans, and deployment plans.
•  Focus and Strengthen all aspects of reliability
