Job Title: Graph Database Engineer (Neo4j / Knowledge Graph)

Experience: 4–8 Years (Preferred)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize graph database solutions using GraphDB technologies.
• Build, maintain, and query graph data models for enterprise applications.
• Develop and manage Knowledge Graphs to support AI and data-driven use cases.
• Design graph schemas, relationships, and ontologies for efficient data representation.
• Collaborate with AI/ML, data engineering, and application development teams to integrate graph-based solutions.
• Optimize graph queries and ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Graph Databases.
• Neo4j experience is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Cypher query language and graph data modeling.
• Good understanding of graph database architecture, indexing, and performance optimization.
• Experience with REST APIs and integrating graph databases with enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with Java, Python, or similar programming languages.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in building and managing Knowledge Graphs.
• Exposure to AI/ML, Generative AI, or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions using graph databases.
• Knowledge of semantic technologies such as RDF, SPARQL, or OWL is an added advantage.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Nice to Have

• Experience with GraphRAG, LLM-based applications, or AI-powered knowledge management systems.

Responsibilities :

● Designing and developing robust and scalable server-side applications using Python, Flask, Django, or other relevant frameworks and technologies.

● Collaborating with other developers, data scientists, and data engineers to design and implement RESTful APIs, web services, and microservices architectures.

● Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code, and reviewing the code of other team members to ensure consistency and adherence to best practices.

● Participating in code reviews, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure the quality and reliability of applications.

● Optimizing applications for performance, scalability, and security, and monitoring the production environment to ensure uptime and availability. ● Staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in web development, and evaluating and recommending new tools and frameworks as needed.

● Mentoring and coaching junior developers to ensure they grow and develop their skills and knowledge in line with the needs of the team and the organization.

● Communicating and collaborating effectively with other stakeholders, including product owners, project managers, and other development teams, to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.

As a senior software engineer, you will work on our python based ORM and applications that scales to handle millions of transactions every hour. This is mission critical software and your primary focus will be building robust and scalable solutions that are easy to maintain.

In this role, you will be collaborating closely with the rest of the team working on different layers of infrastructure in an international environment. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product are important.

What You’ll Do:

• Own definition and implementation of API interfaces (REST and GraphQL). We take pride in our 100% open API with over 600 endpoints.
• Implement simple solutions to complex business logic that enables our merchants to manage financials, orders and shipments across millions of transactions.
• Build reusable components and packages for future use.
• Translate specs and user stories into reviewable, test covered patches.
• Peer review code and refactor existing code.
• Integrate with our eCommerce partners (Shopify, BigCommerce, Amazon), shipping partners (UPS, USPS, FedEx, DHL) and EDI.
• Manage Kubernetes and Docker based global deployment of our infrastructure.

• 3 or more years of experience of server side web systems engineering and middleware in a project services or product engineering organisation
• Hands-on development experience using JavaScript on the Server Side with Node.js and associated frameworks
