Senior Android Developer

Mobile app developer responsible for building features on the iOS, android app. The
app is built on React Native platform with a common codebase for iOS and android. The
role requires developers to be comfortable with bleeding edge technology and be able to
work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibility:

Learning React-Native platform and able to develop features and debug. Understand product
requirements and owning execution of application features on the app.

Experience Range:
Minimum 2 -years experience of developing native iOS/Android consumer facing application
with minimum of 10 thousand downloads.
Skill Sets:
● Fluent with usage of instrumentation and debugging tools on respective platforms
(iOS/Android).
● Excellent understanding of software design and object-oriented programming principles.
● Experience on React-Native/React, Redux is a plus.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design and build advanced applications for the Android and iOS platform on
ReactNative
• Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship
new features
• Work with outside data sources and APIs
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize
development efficiency.


REQUIREMENTS
• Knowledge of developing trends and emerging standards in mobile apps and
mobile payments
• Excellent technical knowledge of React Native
• Pro with Android and iOS UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
• Good understanding of RESTful APIs and how to connect Android applications to
back-end services
• You care about quality and you know what it means to ship high-quality code
• Contribute to the design, architecture, and development of apps that are elegant,
efficient, secure, highly available, and maintainable
• Highly motivated and maintain a positive, “can-do” attitude in an uncertain
environment
• Follow and help cultivate consistent development best practices

• Write high quality code & unit tests, builds, tests as per agreed timelines.
• Follows and promotes SDLC best practices: Coding standard, testing, code reviews, code comments etc.
• Keeps key stakeholders informed about progress and problems; avoids surprises.
• Organises and expresses ideas clearly and concisely.
• Exhibits excellent teamwork and helps achieve team goals.

 

Requirements:

• Exhibits strong problem solving skills.
• Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals and excellent problem solving skills.
• Good understanding of software engineering practices, Data Structures & Algorithms.
• Solid programming skills in Java/Kotlin.
• Good communication skills.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Experience in Reactive programming, Asynchronous programming and Unit Testing will be an added advantage.
• 0-3 years of experience in product driven organisation.
• A Bachelors or Masters degree in engineering from a reputed institute (preferably IITs, NITs, or other top engineering institutes)

Role:
-Maintenance and development of the Android app

Minimum Qualifications:
- BE/B.Tech or ME/M.Tech in Computer Science.
- Must have “Can Do Attitude” towards work
- Must have work exp of 1-2 years
- Proficient in Android and must have hands on exp in Kotlin
- Ability to write clean code and maintain it
- Must have worked in product based company
- Ready to work in a startup and adaptable to a dynamic environment
- Ready to learn new frameworks and services as per requirements.
- Good at programming basics, OOPs concepts, data structures, algorithms and
networking
- Must worked on kotlin, Android’s MVVM model, data binding, retrofit networking library,
service worker, job schedulers, firebase services, firebase notifications, navigation
component, object box/realm

Required Skills
- Experience in any good product based startup
- Experience in adding enhancements to complex app
- Good debugging and programming skills
