Job Title : Software Test Engineer (Manual & Automation)

Experience : 3 to 5 Years

Location : Andheri East, Mumbai

Role Overview :

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Software Test Engineer with strong experience in both manual and automation testing.

The ideal candidate should be hands-on across the complete testing lifecycle and comfortable working with modern testing tools, APIs, databases, and scripting.

Mandatory Skills :

Manual & Automation Testing, API Testing (Postman/Swagger), Load/Performance Testing, SQL/Database Queries, Basic Scripting, Test Case Design, Defect Tracking, and use of Test Management/Project Tracking Tools.

Key Responsibilities :

• Participate in all phases of the testing lifecycle: test strategy, test case design, execution, and automation.
• Perform functional, regression, API, and load testing.
• Use project tracking and test management tools effectively.
• Conduct debugging and responsiveness testing using browser developer tools.
• Work with databases to validate data through basic queries.
• Collaborate closely with developers and product teams to ensure quality delivery.
• Identify, report, and track defects with clear documentation.
• Continuously adopt new testing tools, practices, and industry standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

• Strong hands-on experience in Manual and Automation Testing.
• Experience with API testing tools (Postman/Swagger or similar).
• Experience with Load/Performance testing tools.
• Knowledge of SQL/Database querying.
• Basic scripting knowledge in any programming language.
• Familiarity with test management and project tracking tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Quick learner with a keen eye for detail and quality.

Responsibilities:

• Credit Underwriting, credit appraisal process
• EWS analysis, IFRS9 staging, credit analysis, threshold analysis
• Querying and coding in SAS and SQL
• ECB regulations

• Designing, building, and automating the MongoDB Architecture for open-source MongoDB.
  
  
• Good understanding of DB schema design, performance, tuning and capacity planning.
• The ideal candidate has worked with modern open-source MongoDB platforms cloud deployment models and test-driven development in a fast-paced agile environment.
• In depth understanding of data management e g permissions recovery security and monitoring Operational experience with MongoDB.
• Data Modelling Operational experience with Indexes.
• Good understanding of MongoDB replica set Op log and journals.
• Provide advice and support to other development resources interacting with MongoDB.
• Troubleshoot any problems that may come up with the database environments.
• Skilled in performance tuning and optimization using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Provide guidance in the creation and modification of standards and procedures.
• Experience working with cloud database services a plus.
• Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment.
• Experience working in Aggregation in MongoDB.
• Strong communication documentation skills and technology awareness.

• Strong technical knowledge in software, hardware, and networking
• Prior experience in Customer service or call center environment
• IP protocol and network experience highly desirable
• Working knowledge of NetApp technical systems (6 months or more)
• Strong understanding of computing technology including hardware components, data storage, operating systems, software applications, common peripheral devices, and external connectivity
• Sound problem solving skills with linear and logical troubleshooting skills
• Process knowledge, assessment, design and documentation skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Solid analytical, technical, and project management skills
• Must have proficiency with various software applications including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
