Job Title: Senior Software engineer / Principal Engineer

 Experience :

The candidate should have experience with design and development in Java. Experience in multithreading, algorithm, data-structure, database and collection is mandatory.

• Decent experience in implementing observability (monitoring/alerts) for Java apps

Key Role Requirements:

• Experience in Java-J2EE Development
• Hands-on experience in Struts (Core Java, JSP, Servlets, EJB) framework.
• Hands-on experience in Oracle SQL, Procedures
• Hands-on experience in Spring boot, Spring batch
• Should have worked on application servers like IBM WAS / Jboss / Web logic.
• Knowledge of basic Linux commands and BIRT reporting tool is an added advantage.
• Knowledge in SVN or any other version control is an added advantage.
• Knowledge in Build tool like ANT, Maven is an added advantage
• Strong problem solving and analytical capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Lead design and development of products working closely with business team.
• Independently own software components and co-own entire applications with a small group of fellow developers.
• Formally mentor junior software engineers on the team, reviewing design documents, (peer) reviewing code, providing design direction and guidance.
• Build performant, scalable, yet secure, enterprise ready back end architectures that can support millions of users in parallel.
• Establish strong engineering best practices and champion their adoption.

Requirements:

• 4+ years' experience in software product development and delivery.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in engineering (preferably computer science or sister branches) from a reputed institute (preferably IITs, NITs, or other top engineering institutes).
• Strong grasp of CS fundamentals, algorithms and excellent problem-solving abilities.
• All experience should be from good product development or e-commerce background.
• Able to take ownership of working with at least one of mobile or web app teams for complete integration with backend.
• Must have shown good stability in all your previous associations.
• Have strong backend knowledge and cloud development exposure.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring boot, Hibernate, REST API development.
• Worked with at least 1 RDBMS (Mysql preferred).
• NoSql is a plus.
• Have used or are very hands-on with Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, Gradle/Ant, Kafka, GIT/bitbucket in a very agile work place.
• Writing high quality code which is made better by unit tests and integration tests is how you work.
• Comfortable with exploring proven open source tech stack like Grafana, Kibana, Jira, Prometheus, caches like Redis/Memcached, task queues like celery, to name a few.
• Knowledge of test driven development and AWS tech stack will be a good plus.

• Mandatory skills: Spring boot, Hibernate, Microservice
• Strong Java skills including Java 8 features 
• Good understanding of Microservices-based architecture and the related ecosystem 
• Exposure to MS SQL Server, Sybase etc. and NoSQL databases like MongoDB is also preferred.
• Great OO skills, including strong design patterns knowledge 
• Strong knowledge of software best practices, like Test-Driven Development (TDD) and
• Continuous Integration (CI) 
• Strong Knowledge of Data Structures & Algorithms
• Experience in working with data-driven RESTful APIs using web frameworks like SpringBoot,etc. 
• Should be able to do data modeling
• Good understanding of ORMs like Hibernate, JPA, etc. 
• Strong debugging skills
• Familiarity with architectural/ design patterns
• Advanced knowledge of Agile methodology.

Job Description

Primary Skills

• Server Side (Java) & AWS serverless framework.
• Must have hands-on experience on serverless framework.
• Design knowledge/experience of cloud-based web application. Familiarity with software design representation tools like astah, visio etc.
• Must have good experience on AWS (Overall knowledge, EC2 Volume, EC2 Security Group, EC2 AMI, Lambda, S3, AWSbackup, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, CloudTrail, IAM, SecretsManager, StepFunction, CostExplorer, KMS, VPC/Subnet)
• Understanding business requirements w.r.t UI/UX.
• Working experience on development/staging/production servers.
• Good testing and verification skills
• Knowledge on SSL certificates and encryption.
• Knowledge on Docker containerization.

Soft Skills

• Excellent interpersonal, oral and writing communication skills.
• Strong Analytical and Problem-solving skills.
• Should have skills to understand and analyzecustomers requirements and expectations.
• Must have experience in interaction with customer
• Work experiences with international cross-culture teams (Good to have)

Secondary SKills

• Scripting using Python
• Good to have knowledge of identity management
• UI/UX
• Knowledge of ReactJS/typescript/bootstrap
• Understanding business usecases w.r.t UI/UX
• Fixing issues wrt to integration on cloud(front end/back end/system/services APIs)
