About the Role / Team

We are building a next-generation AI-first R&D organization in Bengaluru, focused on solving complex problems across LLMs, Agentic AI systems, distributed computing, and enterprise-scale architectures.

This initiative is part of a publicly listed global company investing heavily in AI-driven transformation, re-architecting its platforms into intelligent, autonomous systems powered by large language models, workflows, and decision engines.

You will be working on:

• Agentic AI systems & LLM-powered workflows

🚀 The Mandate

Own and evolve the technical backbone of an AI-first enterprise platform.

You will define architecture across LLM-powered systems, distributed services, and data platforms — and lead critical transformations from legacy → AI-native systems.

🧩 What You’ll Do

• Architect large-scale distributed systems powering AI-driven workflows
• Lead 0→1 and 1→N platform builds (LLM integrations, agentic systems, orchestration layers)
• Redesign legacy systems into scalable, modular, AI-native architectures
• Drive system design excellence across teams (APIs, infra, observability, reliability)
• Make high-stakes decisions on trade-offs (latency, cost, scalability, model performance)
• Mentor senior engineers and influence engineering culture/org standards
• Partner with product, data, and leadership on long-term technical strategy

• Proven track record building high-scale backend or platform systems
• Deep expertise in distributed systems, microservices, cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Strong exposure to data systems/infra / Data / real-time architectures

We’re looking for a Backend Developer (Python) with a strong foundation in backend technologies and

a deep interest in scalable, low-latency systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize backend applications using Python.

• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices.

• Work with relational and NoSQL databases for data storage, retrieval, and optimization.

• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code while following best practices.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend, QA, DevOps) to deliver high quality features.

• Participate in code reviews to maintain high coding standards.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing applications.

• Ensure application security, performance, and scalability.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in Python development.

• Strong command over Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.

• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.

• Experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.

• Proficiency in writing and consuming REST APIs.

• Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.

• Experience with unit testing and frameworks like PyTest or Unittest.

• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) is a plus.

The developer is required to create user information solutions through the development, implementation, and maintenance of Java-based components and interfaces.

Requirements :

- We are a self organized engineering team with a passion for programming and solving business problems for our customers.

- We are looking to add 2 members in our team having hands on technical experience of 2-6 years.

- We encourage our team to continuously learn new technologies and apply the learnings in the day to day work even if the new technologies are not adpopted.

- We strive to continuously improve our DevOps practices and expertise to form a solid backbone for the product, customer relationships and sales teams which enables them to add new customers every week to our financing network.

As an engineering team member, you will :

- Work collaboratively with product, customer support and DevOps team to build, enhance, maintain, deploy and operate our systems. 

- Continuously automate operational processes to improve efficiencies and productivity and enhance customer experience 

- Work closely with the architect to continuously refactor the system architecture and design to meet the changing landscape triggered by technology changes and business growth 

- Work with the DevOps team to build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations. 

- Ensure that development processes and deliverables always adhere to the mandates laid down for various certifications (PCI and ISO 27001 in particular)

Skills required :

- Pre-requisites : Competent in Java, database, HTML, Javascript, CSS 

- Should be passionate about technology and ready to deep dive into programming 

- Should have sound expertise of writing testable code and appreciate defect free coding 

- Should be willing to handle Ops automation and production support 

- Should be able to reason/argue/discuss/suggest solutions and alternatives

- Should be able to decipher the core problem to be solved during discussions with product team and/or customers 

- Should have good communication skills and experience working in teams

- Knowledge of Python will be an added advantage

- Experience of working in financial domain will help but not a necessity

Job Requirements-

Mandatory:

1. 2 - 3 years of J2EE experience

2. Clear understanding and application knowledge of Object-Oriented concepts

3. Experienced in Core Java, Collection Framework, exception handling, logging frameworks

4. Knowledge of Struts/Spring/Springboot framework or any ORM tools like Hibernate, JPA mandatory

5. Knowledge of SQL

Desirable to have:

1. Code review tools like pmd, sonar, Checkstyle

2. Knowledge of writing unit testing using Junit, Jmock, DBUnit etc.,

3. Knowledge to build scripts using ant, maven

4. Exposure to Agile Model

5. Exposure to BFSI domain
