As a Data Engineer (GenAI) at CogniSwitch, you’ll get to dive deep into cutting-edge technology where you'll tinker with LLMs, fine tune models for customer’s domain, build search/retrieval technology.  

Key Responsibilities 

• Work extensively with LLMs and guard-railing, prompting & fine-tuning them as required 
• Research the latest innovations in Machine Learning, especially with respect to Natural Language Understanding & implement them if useful 
• Train models to provide different insights, mainly from text but also other media 
• Validate the models trained. Fine-tune & optimize as necessary 
• Deploy validated models 
• Periodically, test & validate models in use. Update where necessary 

Experience

We value ability over experience but having a deep working knowledge of Machine Learning will be an advantage. 

Must Have Skills

• Strong understanding of Python 
• Clarity on concepts of Data Science 
• A strong grounding in core Machine Learning 
• Ability to wrangle & manipulate data into a processable form 

Good to have

• Experience with deep learning 
• Experience with frameworks like Scikit-Learn, Tensorflow, CNTK, Keras 
• Prior experience of working in a lean team with an early-stage startup.

Location, Role & Relationships

CogniSwitch is a highly efficient and lean team that operates in a flat structure. You will work directly with the VP, Engineering, Joshua Thomas and the CEO and CTO – Dilip Ittyera. This is a remote role but we meet at least once every quarter to work in-person for short spans of time. You can expect these meets to happen in our Pune office mostly or sometimes in another city if we combine it with an offsite.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Working on Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma

2. Designing infographics, posters, carousels, and journals

3. Create compelling, error-free content aligned with brand guidelines

4. Designing and creating visual assets

5. Assisting in creating graphics, illustrations, and layouts

6. Developing materials for marketing, social media, and websites

7. Staying updated with design trends

8. Researching and referencing before every project

We are looking for a Senior React Native Mobile App Developer interested in building performant mobile apps on both the iOS and Android platforms. You will be responsible for architecting and building these applications, as well as coordinating with the teams responsible for other layers of the product infrastructure. Building a product is a highly collaborative effort, and as such, a strong team player with a commitment to perfection is required.

• Build pixel-perfect, buttery smooth UIs across both mobile platforms
• Leverage native APIs for deep integrations with both platforms
• Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks for performance that feels native
• Reach out to the open source community to encourage and help implement mission-critical software fixes- React Native moves fast and often breaks things
• Maintain code and write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality
• Transition existing React web apps to React Native

• Firm grasp of the JavaScript and TypeScript or ClojureScript language and its nuances, including ES6+ syntax
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming
• Ability to write well-documented, clean Javascript code
• Rock solid at working with third-party dependencies and debugging dependency conflicts
• Familiarity with native build tools, like XCode, Gradle, Android Studio, IntelliJ
• Understanding of REST APIs, the document request model, and offline storage
• Experiences with automated testing suites, like Jest or Mocha

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering with 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Highly experienced in Embedded C, C++ coding as per MISRA standards
• Experience in firmware programming for 8 bit, 16 bit and 32 bit controllers.
• Knowledgeable in Linker Scripts, Make files & firmware debugging using JTAG or on the UART console. 
• Experienced in Communication peripherals like SPI, UART, I2C, CAN, etc.

• Ideation, designing, prototyping, and developing as per product requirements.

• Expertise in system architecture and design for Embedded software systems.
• Develop modular Embedded Code to port into different projects.
• Experience on Real Time Systems and Scheduling mechanisms
• Development experience in "middleware" / “application” / Low layer.
• Experience with developing embedded code for networking technologies like TCP/IP and UDP would be a plus.
• Document state machine diagrams, flow charts to understand the system architecture
• Working closely with Design teams to understand Hardware Implementation.
• Develop Test methods, in some cases automated test cases to test the firmware code and support hardware engineers.
• Use Debuggers, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and other necessary electrical tools to debug the code for problem-solving.
• Excellent reading skills for complete understanding of technical documents such as Processor Architecture Specifications and MCU hardware manuals, schematics etc.
• Ability to generate ideas in response to complex issues and execute on solutions.
• Python programming is a big plus.
