In today's world, all premises be it manufacturing, hospitals, offices, hotels, cities, airports, shops, warehouses etc. are covered with CCTV Cameras. Continuous monitoring through dedicated command center or e-surveillance is proving to be ineffective as well as costly to manage.

We have pioneered the use of AI / ML technologies to headlessly live monitor CCTV cameras to generate very accurate alerts, alarms & insights and deliver them directly to the right stakeholders for quick, proactive action.

We have worked closely with hundreds of customers from diverse industries, AI Hardware Partners, CCTV OEMs, VMSs, System Integrators & Consultants to bring to the world VAST, an enterprise-ready Video Surveillance as a Service (VSaaS) solution.

Responsibilities

Position Overview:

Paralaxiom is a video analytics and machine vision company with its VAST product line a path-breaking product for safety, security, and operations for CCTV operations.

We are looking for application engineers for this product line.

Experience: 1 -2 years

Key Responsibilities:

1) Gathering information from customers on their needs and understanding how VAST software matches their desires

2) Design the solution and installation of the software

3 ) Making sure the VAST software continues to work properly after maintenance and testing

4) Take notes of all aspects of the application for future upgrades and maintenance

5) Troubleshooting the software

6) Training the end users

7) Excellent Knowledge of Python and shell scripting

8) Working knowledge of IP networking and troubleshooting

We need someone with 1-2 years of experience with the following skillset:

Great communication skills

Debugging and analytical skills

Knowledge of hardware and software integration will be a plus

Knowledge of Camera NVR will be a plus

Hands-on system and functional testing will be a plus

Key Responsibilities & Activities

1. Requirement Gathering & Analysis

○ Engage with clients to understand their business processes and objectives.

○ Conduct in-depth analysis of client requirements to identify specific needs.

○ Provide process consulting by mapping ‘as-is’ and ‘to-be’ processes to ensure maximum utilization of standard Odoo features.

2. Odoo Setup & Configuration

○ Set up Odoo environments based on the customer’s hosting preferences.

○ Configure Odoo applications to align with client-specific business workflows.

○ Set up companies, users, and access rights based on organizational structure and security needs.

3. Functional Architecting (for Customization Requirements)

○ Conduct GAP analysis to identify business requirements that necessitate custom development.

○ Define functional workflows for business processes requiring customization.

○ Draft user stories or detailed functional specifications to guide the technical team.

4. Data Migration

○ Plan and execute data migration strategies from legacy systems to Odoo.

○ Perform data imports (via templates or scripts) and validate data accuracy post-migration.

○ Troubleshoot and resolve any data-related discrepancies.

5. Training

○ Conduct end-user training sessions on both standard and customized Odoo features.

○ Develop training materials and user documentation for effective onboarding.

○ Provide ongoing support and address user queries during the training phase.

6. Testing

○ Perform functional testing to ensure quality before delivering features to the client.

○ Support clients during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and follow up to ensure completion.

○ Define success criteria for user stories involving development or customization.

7. Go-live

○ Plan and execute cutover activities for go-live.

○ Ensure smooth transition and provide immediate support during the go-live period.

○ Maintain high availability and responsiveness during this critical phase.

8. Support

○ Provide ongoing support to end-users after implementation.

○ Resolve functional issues and respond to support requests promptly.

○ Ensure service levels are maintained in accordance with agreed SLAs.

9. Documentation

○ Create and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and Functional Specifications (FSDs/User Stories).

○ Prepare user guides and manuals for custom-developed features. ○ Ensure documentation remains up-to-date with ongoing changes and improvements.

10. Stakeholder Communication

○ Maintain proactive and transparent communication with clients regarding project progress.

○ Conduct regular project review meetings to ensure alignment with client expectations.

11. Project Management

○ Manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure successful implementation.

○ Utilize Aktiv's project management system for tracking tasks and logging timesheets.

12. Team Collaboration

○ Work closely with developers, technical leads, and other consultants to deliver integrated solutions.

○ Participate in regular internal meetings to align project activities.

○ Support the sales team during pre-sales by providing expert consultation.

13. Strategic Involvement

○ Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for internal processes & systems and project delivery standards.

○ Assist in the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

○ Mentor junior consultants or business analysts and support their development through structured training plans.

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Category Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in category management roles within the e-commerce sector, with a focus on categories such as fashion, personal care, beauty, and health and wellness.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Plan and implement effective marketing campaigns to promote category growth. Monitor and analyze campaign performance, making data-driven adjustments as needed.

• Curate and manage the product assortment within assigned categories. Work closely with vendors and internal teams to ensure a diverse and appealing product mix.

• Take ownership of the category's (P&L) statement. Develop and execute strategies to maximize revenue and profitability. Monitor and manage pricing, promotions, and discounts within the 

category.

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing brands within the assigned categories. Negotiate terms, agreements, and promotional opportunities with brand partners.

• Utilize data analysis tools to gather insights into category performance. Make informed decisions based on data, identifying trends and opportunities & provide regular reports.

• Collaborate with various teams, including business, marketing, customer support, and data teams and ensure effective communication and alignment on category objectives and initiatives.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's or Master’s degree in engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field from a tier-1 institute.

2. 3-5 years of proven experience in e-commerce category management, preferably in fashion, personal care, beauty, or health and wellness.

3. Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools.

4. Strong understanding of retail trends, consumer behavior, and brand marketing.

5. Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

6. Experience in managing a team would be a plus.

7. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

8. Experience in a VC-funded start-up is a plus.
