Job Summary:
The Real Estate Funding Head will lead the sourcing, structuring, and management of funding for real estate projects. This role requires a strategic finance leader with deep knowledge of real estate finance, capital markets, and investor relations. The Funding Head will develop and maintain strong relationships with lenders, investors, and financial institutions to secure optimal financing solutions that support the company’s real estate development and investment objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Funding Strategy & Management:
- Develop and implement comprehensive funding strategies for real estate projects aligned with business goals.
- Identify and evaluate multiple funding sources including banks, financial institutions, private equity, venture capital, and alternative financing.
- Negotiate terms and structures for debt and equity financing agreements.
- Manage relationships with banks, investors, and funding partners to ensure continuous capital flow.
- Monitor and optimize capital costs and financing structures to maximize ROI.
- Oversee due diligence and risk assessment related to financing transactions.
Financial Analysis & Reporting:
- Lead financial modeling, feasibility studies, and funding proposals for new projects.
- Collaborate with project and finance teams to track funding utilization and compliance.
- Prepare and present funding plans, financial reports, and investor updates to senior management.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and internal compliance standards related to funding.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Build and lead a high-performing funding team.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (legal, finance, project management, and sales) to align funding with operational needs.
- Mentor team members and promote best practices in real estate finance.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Real Estate, or related field. MBA or relevant professional certification (CFA, CPA) preferred.
- Proven experience (X+ years) in real estate finance, capital raising, or investment banking.
- Deep understanding of real estate funding mechanisms, capital markets, and financial instruments.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and financial modeling skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple high-value projects simultaneously.
