Job Title: IOS Engineer (Remote)

Job Description

Remote Working | Engineering Team | Full-time

The Impact you will create on the Job:

Developing SDKs on IOS with support for cross-platform technologies like ReactNative, Flutter along with hybrid development over platforms like Cordova.

Apply data structures and algorithms to optimize the code for a lower memory, battery, and processing footprint - all with the goal to build plug-and-play SDKs that don’t expect the app developers to write any supporting code in the app.

You will be liaising with the cross-functional teams to get an in-depth understanding of the functional requirements and propose scalable solutions.

As an individual contributor, you will tackle some of our broadest technical challenges that requires deep technical knowledge, hands-on software development and seamless collaboration with all functions.

You will envision and develop features that are highly reliable and fault tolerant to deliver a superior customer experience.

Plan and execute the roadmap with the engineering team to build and deliver next-generation systems.

What we look for?

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science/IT from premier institute.

2-4 years of industry experience in iOS development, with at least one live app on App Store.

Good knowledge of Objective-C, Swift 5, data structures and algorithms.

Fair understanding of Native Frameworks, specifically concurrency handling, data persistence (User Defaults, Keychain, Core Data), and background tasks.

Good understanding of iOS Frameworks related to UI and network.

Fair understanding of Apple’s concurrency handling, Core Data, and NS Operation classes.

Familiarity with developing UI with both XIB/Storyboard and code.

Good understanding of SDK integrations, debugging, and troubleshooting.

Interested in exploring mobile app development ecosystems like React Native, Cordova and Flutter.

Comfortable with tackling ambiguous problems and unblocking yourself.

Fair understanding of Push Notification ecosystem.

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Flutter code to develop feature-rich, high-performance mobile applications for Android and iOS platforms.

Collaborate with designers to implement visually stunning and responsive user interfaces, ensuring an excellent user experience across various devices and screen sizes.

• Integrate mobile applications with backend APIs and services to facilitate seamless data exchange and ensure smooth app functionality.

• Identify and resolve bugs, performance issues, and other problems that may arise during the development process or in the live applications.

• Continuously optimize application performance and enhance the user experience by employing efficient algorithms and techniques.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and technologies related to mobile development, particularly within the Flutter ecosystem, and apply them to improve development processes and outcomes.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in mobile app development, with a focus on Flutter.

• Proven expertise in developing robust and complex mobile applications using the Flutter framework.

• Solid understanding of mobile app development concepts, including UI/UX design, offline storage, threading, and performance optimization.

• Strong proficiency in Dart programming language, along with a good understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and experience in integrating mobile applications with backend services.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.

• Developing high quality native mobile experiences for our products – with a focus on UI/UX, simplifying complex use cases so that a non-expert can succeed
• Experience with Flutter.

About the Job –

• 2+ years in mobile software development.
• Have two or more iOS/Android apps developed with Flutter. Either deployed on the AppStore/Google Play or available on GitHub.
• Design and build sophisticated and highly scalable apps using Flutter.
• Build custom packages in Flutter using the functionalities and APIs already available in native Android and IOS.
• Translate and build the designs and Wireframes into high quality responsive UI code.
• Explore feasible architectures for implementing new features.
• Resolve any problems existing in the system and suggest and add new features in the complete system.
• Suggest space and time efficient Data Structures.
• Follow the best practices while developing the app and keeping everything structured and well documented.
• Use CI/CD for smooth deployment.
• Document the project and code efficiently.
• Manage the code and project on Git to keep in sync with other team members and managers.
• Ensure security guidelines are always followed while developing the app.
• Consulting with our customer facing representatives about software system design and maintenance.
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
• Understanding of the Agile development life cycle.
• Experience with automated testing and building.
• Experience with Git, Jenkins, or other version control tools.
• Familiarity using version control tools like Git, Subversion etc. and IDEs like Android Studio, VS Code etc.

Hands-on experience in working with Android Studio, Visual Studio & Xamarin.Forms.

Hands-on experience in creating user interface using Xamarin.Forms, Android SDK & iOS SDK for designing UI using XAML with various layouts and controls.

Hands-on experience required on MVVM.​

Hands-on experience in developing Xamarin.Forms Custom Renderers, Data Binding, Effects,Gustures, Sliders, List views, Buttons, Styles, Check boxes, Date Pickers, Webview and Dependency Service.

Need Good Knowledge on data storage options using SQLite Database, Shared Preferences and Content Provider In Xamarin.Forms & Android.

Hands-on experience  in Server integration technologies including web services RESTful APIs.

Need Good Knowledge in integrating Google Play Services, Google Maps API and Google

         Cloud Messaging.

Need Good Knowledge with Push Notification Implementation in Xamarin.Android by Firebase.

Working experience  required on developing  the applications and testing them on Emulators, mobiles and tablets.

Proficient in generating Android .APK & iOS .IPA files deploying to the Playstore and App Store.

- 2+ years of hands-on programming experience in building native iOS apps, with deep focus on usability, performance, Core Data and integration with REST APIs & services.

- Built real world apps that are published on the app store.

- Experience in OO design, design patterns & fluency in Objective-C programming (exposure to Swift or React Native would be a plus)

- Experience working with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, Core Graphics and Core Text

- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs, consuming REST Web Services
