React-Native App Developer

The Mobile Application Developer will be the primary resource responsible for Envoy’s mobile offering.  They will develop improvements using Ionic, as well as manage deployment to the appropriate app stores.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop solutions in Ionic with focus on building scalable, maintainable and secure code, while providing an intuitive, modern user experience
• Actively collaborate with business, production support, and other software engineers
• Maintain the mobile apps status and manage deployments to Google’s and Apple’s app stores
• Keep up to date and champion the latest mobile technology and methodologies

Position Requirements:

• At least 7 years of experience with mobile development OR a modern web platform such as Angular, React or Vue.js
• At least 2 years of experience and demonstrated expert knowledge of Ionic.
• Experience with maintaining and deploying mobile applications to Google’s and Apple’s app stores
• Ability to “own” a project and be a strong contributor without constant management.
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills

• Firm grasp of the JavaScript (and TypeScript ) language and its nuances
• Knowledge of (functional or object-oriented) programming
• Ability to write well-documented, clean Javascript code
• Rock solid at working with third-party dependencies and debugging dependency conflicts
• Familiarity with native build tools.
• Understanding of REST APIs, the document request model, and offline storage
• Experience with automated testing suites.

• Should have develop Native Mobile Applications.
• Should have worked on SQLite, Retrofit, Firebase etc.
• Must have knowledge working on Hybrid Applications.
• Additional advantage if worked of frameworks like React Native, Flutter etc.
• Advantage having working knowledge of Kotlin.
• Certification done is an additional advantage.
• Even candidate should have very good debugging skills.
• Clear about Object Oriented Programming Concepts.
• Must have knowledge of working with api's and working with databases.

• Minimum 3 - 5 years java development
• Third Level Qualifications in computing, mathematics or science

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Experience of working in an agile environment
• Product development and lifecycle experience
• Experience of unit testing
• Scripting (JavaScript, Ruby, Python, Shell, etc.)
• Knowledge of build systems such as Maven and Gradle

Responsibilities

#Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform.

#Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

#Work with outside data sources and API-s.

#Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.

#Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.

#Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

Key Competencies

#1-3 years of hands-on experience building Android apps in Kotlin/ Java.

#In-depth understanding of Android libraries available to developers as well as with third-party libraries. #Good knowledge of the network layer on Android.

#Good understanding of Android fundamentals - an end to end app development and creating custom components. Well versed in Android performance

#Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team to achieve set targets and deadlines.

#Understanding of XML/JSON, experience using Mysql & Git

#Understand testing methods and app release process

#Having knowledge integrating third-party plugins within the application.
