Wissen Technology is seeking a talented Senior Java Developer with strong Azure cloud expertise to join our high-performing team. You'll contribute to building scalable, cloud-native applications for mission-critical projects in financial services and beyond, leveraging Azure for deployment, optimization, and innovation

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale backend applications using Core Java (Java 8+) and Spring Boot.

• Build and deploy RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems on Azure cloud platforms.
• Optimize concurrency, synchronization, memory management, GC tuning, and JVM performance
• Integrate messaging systems like Kafka or Azure Service Bus for event-driven architectures
• Utilize Azure services such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Azure DevOps CI/CD, and Azure API Management for cloud-native development and deployment.
• Conduct performance tuning, latency reduction, and system optimization in cloud environments
• Collaborate on data structures, algorithms, and OOP design patterns for robust solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years in Core Java backend development with proven expertise in enterprise applications
• Hands-on with Azure cloud (AKS, Service Bus, Functions, DevOps, Key Vault, Logic Apps).
• Proficiency in Spring Boot, microservices, distributed systems, and REST APIs.
• Experience with messaging queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ) and databases (RDBMS like Azure SQL)
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux and high-performance server-side development.

The requirements are as follows:

1) Familiar with the the Django REST API Framework.

2) Experience with the FAST API framework will be a plus

3) Strong grasp of basic python programming concepts ( We do ask a lot of questions on this on our interviews :) )

4) Experience with databases like MongoDB , Postgres , Elasticsearch , REDIS will be a plus

5) Experience with any ML library will be a plus.

6) Familiarity with using git , writing unit test cases for all code written and CI/CD concepts will be a plus as well.

7) Familiar with basic code patterns like MVC.

8) Grasp on basic data structures.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Rewrite existing APIs in NodeJS. 
• Remodel the APIs into Micro services-based architecture. 
• Implement a caching layer wherever possible. 
• Optimize the API for high performance and scalability. 
• Write unit tests for API Testing.
• Automate the code testing and deployment process.

Skills Required:

• At least 2 years of experience developing Backends using NodeJS — should be well versed with its asynchronous nature & event loop, and know its quirks and workarounds. 
• Excellent hands-on experience using MySQL or any other SQL Database. 
• Good knowledge of MongoDB or any other NoSQL Database. 
• Good knowledge of Redis, its data types, and their use cases. 
• Experience with graph-based databases like GraphQL and Neo4j. 
• Experience developing and deploying REST APIs. 
• Good knowledge of Unit Testing and available Test Frameworks. 
• Good understanding of advanced JS libraries and frameworks. 
• Experience with Web sockets, Service Workers, and Web Push Notifications. 
• Familiar with NodeJS profiling tools. 
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git. 
• Good knowledge of creating and maintaining DevOps infrastructure on cloud platforms. 
• Should be a fast learner and a go-getter — without any fear of trying out new things Preferences. 
• Experience building a large scale social or location-based app.

Primary Responsibilities:

• We need strong SQL database development skills using the MS SQL server.
• Strong skill in SQL server integration services (SSIS) for ETL development.
• Strong Experience in full life cycle database development project using SQL server.
• Experience in designing and implementing complex logical and physical data models.
• Exposure to web services & web technologies (Javascript, Jquery, CSS, HTML).
• Knowledge of other high-level languages (PERL, Python) will be an added advantage
• Nice to have SQL certification.

Preferred Skills: 

We want to really emphasize Spring Boot (2+ years although 1+ if candidate particularly strong) Using Redis as a caching technology with Spring Boot would be a strong plus 

Using Redisson (a particular java client library that can be easily configured with Spring Boot) would be a strong plus 

Knowledge of event based messaging systems (Amazon SNS, Amazon MQ, or Kafka (in AWS) Data Cleaning tools and techniques in CSV and Excel 

Strong Knowledge of Spring Boot Dependency Injection and Configuration 

Experience with APIs for popular e-commerce platforms (Magento, Shopify, Big Commerce, etc.) 

SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) Tools in the context of AWS. (Tools classified under DevOps) 

Experience with managing AWS EC2 VM instances and using AWS managed Services (like S3, MySQL, VPC/Networking, Lambda, etc) 

Performance Analysis Tools (Code Profiling) on Java VM and particularly Spring Boot 

Nice to Have: 

Experience with Cassandra or MongoDB with Spring Boot 

Horizontal Scaling with Spring Boot (considerations running multiple instances of Spring Boot instances) 

Experience with placing Spring Boot applications in Docker/Kubernetes container ecosystems (especially in AWS)
