Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Technical Lead with strong experience in Java Spring Boot

and Angular to lead a team of developers for a client project based out of Whitefield,Bangalore. The role requires hands-on development, design, architecture understanding, code review, and team coordination.

Key Responsibilities

● Lead a team of 9 developers and provide technical guidance.

● Perform hands-on development using Java, Spring Boot, Angular.

● Drive solution design, code quality, best practices, and performance optimization.

● Work closely with the client’s product owners and architects.

● Conduct code reviews, technical grooming, and sprint planning.

● Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

● Ensure timely delivery of modules with high quality.

● Mentor team members and support them in solving technical blockers.

Technical Skills Required

● Strong expertise in Java 8+, Spring Boot, REST APIs.

● Strong front-end experience with Angular 8+, TypeScript, HTML, CSS.

● Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).

● Hands-on with Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, CI/CD.

● Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS) is an added advantage.

● Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Soft Skills

● Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

● Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate the team.

What You’ll Be Doing:

● Design and build parts of our data pipeline architecture for extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using the latest Big Data technologies.

● Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.

● Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.

● Work with machine learning, data, and analytics experts to drive innovation, accuracy and greater functionality in our data system. Qualifications:

● Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant field.

● 10+ years of relevant and recent experience in a Data Engineer role. ● 5+ years recent experience with Apache Spark and solid understanding of the fundamentals.

● Deep understanding of Big Data concepts and distributed systems.

● Strong coding skills with Scala, Python, Java and/or other languages and the ability to quickly switch between them with ease.

● Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with a variety of relational databases such as Postgres and/or MySQL.

● Cloud Experience with DataBricks

● Experience working with data stored in many formats including Delta Tables, Parquet, CSV and JSON.

● Comfortable working in a linux shell environment and writing scripts as needed.

● Comfortable working in an Agile environment

● Machine Learning knowledge is a plus.

● Must be capable of working independently and delivering stable, efficient and reliable software.

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

What you need to have:

Summary
Our Kafka developer has a combination of technical skills, communication skills and business knowledge. The developer should be able to work on multiple medium to large projects. The successful candidate will have excellent technical skills of Apache/Confluent Kafka, Enterprise Data WareHouse preferable GCP BigQuery or any equivalent Cloud EDW and also will be able to take oral and written business requirements and develop efficient code to meet set deliverables.

Must Have Skills

• Participate in the development, enhancement and maintenance of data applications both as an individual contributor and as a lead.
• Leading in the identification, isolation, resolution and communication of problems within the production environment.
• Leading developer and applying technical skills Apache/Confluent Kafka (Preferred) AWS Kinesis (Optional), Cloud Enterprise Data Warehouse Google BigQuery (Preferred) or AWS RedShift or SnowFlakes (Optional)
• Design recommending best approach suited for data movement from different sources to Cloud EDW using Apache/Confluent Kafka
• Performs independent functional and technical analysis for major projects supporting several corporate initiatives.
• Communicate and Work with IT partners and user community with various levels from Sr Management to detailed developer to business SME for project definition .
• Works on multiple platforms and multiple projects concurrently.
• Performs code and unit testing for complex scope modules, and projects
• Provide expertise and hands on experience working on Kafka connect using schema registry in a very high volume environment (~900 Million messages)

• Provide expertise in Kafka brokers, zookeepers, KSQL, KStream and Kafka Control center.
• Provide expertise and hands on experience working on AvroConverters, JsonConverters, and StringConverters.
• Provide expertise and hands on experience working on Kafka connectors such as MQ connectors, Elastic Search connectors, JDBC connectors, File stream connector,  JMS source connectors, Tasks, Workers, converters, Transforms.
• Provide expertise and hands on experience on custom connectors using the Kafka core concepts and API.
• Working knowledge on Kafka Rest proxy.
• Ensure optimum performance, high availability and stability of solutions.
• Create topics, setup redundancy cluster, deploy monitoring tools, alerts and has good knowledge of best practices.
• Create stubs for producers, consumers and consumer groups for helping onboard applications from different languages/platforms.  Leverage Hadoop ecosystem knowledge to design, and develop capabilities to deliver our solutions using Spark, Scala, Python, Hive, Kafka and other things in the Hadoop ecosystem. 
• Use automation tools like provisioning using Jenkins, Udeploy or relevant technologies
• Ability to perform data related benchmarking, performance analysis and tuning.
• Strong skills in In-memory applications, Database Design, Data Integration.

Job Responsibilities:
• Design test plans, procedures, scenarios, and scripts to accurately assess new products or software updates according to customer requirements and company policies.
• Develop testing protocol for various aspects, such as usability, database impact, error and bug finding, regression testing, and implementation scenarios.
• Identify, analyse and create detailed records of problems that appear during testing, such as software defects, bugs, functionality issues, and output errors, and work directly with software developers to find solutions and develop retesting procedures.
• Track problems, resolutions, and bug fixes throughout testing and create a comprehensive database of defects and successful mitigation techniques.
• Create detailed, step-by-step documentation of test procedures for each phase or project as needed to ensure replicability, compliance with standards, and growth of company knowledge base.
• Provide frequent feedback to developers, including recommendations for improvements, evaluation of problems, potential solutions, and discussion of further test requirements.
• Design and implement automated testing tools when possible, and update tools as needed to ensure currency and accuracy.


Job Skills Required
• Experience in Automated and Manual QA Processes (Bug tacking/reporting, root-cause analysis, documentation...)
• Experience with Java, Git Source control, Selenium, Appium
• Experience with Web and Mobile testing frameworks/tools such as selenium, appium and selendroid on native and hybrid Android apps.
• Experience with designing and developing web and mobile test automation solutions on a framework level from scratch
• Experience with build tools, test harness and reporting tools such as Maven, Gradle, TestNG, JUnit, Extent report, Allure report
• Experience with debugging, troubleshooting android apps.
Familiarity with CICD pipeline will be an added advantage with the tools such as Travis CI, Circle CI


• Excellent time-management skills and commitment to meet deadlines.
