Backend Developer

About the Role:

We’re looking for a skilled Backend Developer (2–6 years of experience) who can design and build scalable backend systems, ensure high-performance APIs, and contribute to the technology powering a fast-growing jewelry platform. You’ll work closely with product and frontend teams to deliver robust, scalable, and reliable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
• Write clean, secure, and well-documented backend code.
• Work with relational databases, ensuring optimized queries and data integrity.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers and product managers to deliver end-to-end features.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize backend systems for performance and reliability.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and technology choices as the platform scales.

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of professional experience as a Backend Developer.
• Strong proficiency in Python with frameworks like Django, FastAPI, or Flask.
• Solid understanding of relational databases, schema design, and query optimization.
• Experience building and consuming REST or GraphQL APIs.
• Knowledge of version control (Git).
• Familiarity with Docker.
• Understanding of microservices architecture (good to have).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (good to have).
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and optimization skills.
• Experience working in e-commerce or marketplace environments.

2.       Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages such as HTML, CSS.

3.       Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular JS, React, and Amber.

4.       Proficiency with server-side languages such as Python / Ruby / Java / PHP/ .Net.

5.       Good Understand with database technology such as MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing Web Applications/ Rest Apis/ Automation Scripts.
• Design, Develop, Enhance and test Back End Web Modules using Nodejs, Nestjs Framework, Mongo DB.
• Research and explore existing solutions, competition to get a holistic understanding of the design and development.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with various teams for effective outcomes.
• Meet deadlines in a high intensity work environment.
• Write Highly scalable and stable code.
• Pick up any project & amp; suggest a solution for completing it.
• Write production ready code with minimal bugs.
• Review other engineers' code and provide constructive feedback.
• Help grow the engineering team through involvement in the technology community (conferences, meetups, blog posts, open-source projects, etc) and referrals.
• Monitor changes in production & amp; rollback if necessary.
• Pair often and provide some guidance to more junior engineers.

Requirements:

• 2-6 years of working experience in backend technologies.
• Proficient in NodeJs, NestJs, Js.
• Understanding of Backend End Technologies.
• Proficient in RESTful APIs and API Communications.
• Understanding of Sql and NoSql Databases.
• Good grasp of Asynchronous Programming and its work arounds.
• Database schema Creation for business process.
• Working knowledge in user authentication and authorization.
• Implementing data protection Error Handling skills
• Good at analyzing and solving problems.

• Knowledge of firebase authentication and analytics.
• Knowledge of AWS deployment tools and strategy.

• Good understanding for SQL & NoSQL dB’s, preferably work experience with MongoDB.
