Job Description

We are looking for a Backend Engineer with strong Python skills and hands-on exposure to AI-based applications. The candidate will be responsible for developing scalable backend services and supporting AI-powered systems such as LLM integrations, AI agents, and RAG pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Python (FastAPI preferred)
• Build and manage RESTful APIs for frontend and AI integrations
• Support development of AI-driven features (LLMs, RAG systems, AI agents)
• Design and maintain both monolithic and microservices architectures
• Optimize database performance and backend scalability
• Work with DevOps for Docker-based deployments

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Python backend development
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI / Django / Flask
• Knowledge of REST APIs and microservices
• Experience with AI applications (LLM usage, prompt engineering basics)
• Database knowledge: MongoDB, PostgreSQL or MySQL
• Experience with Docker and basic cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Hands-on experience with Redis for caching and in-memory storage

Good to Have

• Experience integrating payment gateways (Razorpay, Stripe, PayU, etc.)
• Exposure to event-driven architectures using RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Redis Streams
• Kubernetes
• Understanding of model fine-tuning concepts

Job Responsibilities:

● Design, test, and build scalable backend python services

● Developing high-quality code based on detailed designs that cater to the product requirements.

● Responsible for troubleshooting, testing, and maintaining the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality

Required Skills:

● Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.

In collaboration with Microsoft Research, we are developing a data-driven lending platform catered towards the needs of “emerging markets” users. As someone joining the technology team, you’ll have the chance to experience and lead efforts into scaling the existing systems to thousands of users across India and outside. We are looking for outstanding engineers to assist building up the core components as well as designing new components. Knowledge of existing technologies is preferred, but ultimately, we are looking for individuals with a growth mindset, willing to learn and contribute to their growth and the growth of their peers.

• Develop, modify, and maintain code base of various applications.
• Coordinating with a remote team and applying appropriate branching, labelling using GIT.
• Adding features to the existing web dashboard for monitoring and supporting field operations.
• Implementing application testability and diagnostics and fixing bug with REDUX architecture.

• 2+ years’ experience with development of Restful APIs.

Requirements:

• 5+ years’ experience under your belt developing performance-critical applications that run in a production environment using Node.Js
• Expertise in Database modeling, preferably relational DB, spotting DB bottlenecks, and writing optimized DB queries.
• Expertise in common Cloud technologies, AWS/GCP Knowledge of CI/CD tools and workflows.
• Knowledge in one or more of the following: NoSQL (especially, but not only Redis), Queueing system experience (Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, MSMQ)
• Good stakeholder management skills, with an ability to build trust and rapport with internal and external stakeholders
• It is good to have knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker and related deployment technologies.

• Min 5 years of software development experience, with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Proficiency in a Go programming language
• Strong software development fundamentals (Data structures,  Algorithms, problem-solving,  OO  design,  systems architecture,  and development methods).

Skills
