RockED is a performance development platform built for the automotive industry. We partner with over 10,000 dealerships across the U.S., as well as major OEMs who use our platform to run and manage their own training programmes at scale. Our mobile-first app helps dealerships onboard new hires faster, develop stronger teams, and reduce turnover by delivering bite-sized training to sales reps, service advisors, and technicians right on their phones.

The platform spans learning and performance management. On the learning side, it includes an AI Coach for personalised practice , gamified learning along with role-based certifications. On the performance management side, the platform surfaces real-world performance data for dealership staff, such as service advisors, and recommends targeted training based on that data to drive measurable improvement on the floor. We are headquartered in Florida with our R&D team in India, backed by investors with strong roots in automotive and EdTech.

The Role

We're looking for a Product Manager to join our product team in Bengaluru. You'll work closely with engineering, design, content, and our U.S-based leadership to help shape the RockED platform, with real ownership over what we build and how we build it.

You should be someone who cares about the craft of product work: writing tight specs, asking the right questions, and sweating the details on UX. At the same time, you're practical and know how to move things forward in a small team.

What You'll Do

• Own the roadmap for key parts of the platform: learner experience, engagement, content delivery, and admin tools.
• Talk to customers regularly. Our users are dealership managers, sales reps, and technicians. Understanding their world is a big part of the job.
• Write PRDs and user stories that are clear enough that engineers can run with them without a lot of back-and-forth.
• Work with design on the details. You should have opinions on UX and feel comfortable pushing back when something feels off.
• Coordinate with our US team on launches, timelines, and stakeholder updates. Some overlap with US hours is part of the role.
• Track what's working. You'll define the metrics that matter for your areas and use them to prioritize what gets built next.
• Support growth and engagement efforts using tools like MoEngage, CleverTap, or HubSpot.

What We're Looking For

• Strong, proven hands-on experience in product role. EdTech or B2B SaaS background is a plus, but we care more about how you think than where you've worked.
• Strong product sense. You can clearly explain what a feature is for, who it serves, and what success looks like.
• Good design intuition. You notice when something is off in a flow, can sketch out an alternative, and give useful feedback.
• Comfortable in technical conversations. You don't need to write code, but you should understand trade-offs and not need things over-explained.
• Clear communicator in English, written and verbal. You'll be writing docs and presenting to US stakeholders regularly.
• Comfortable with data. You can write basic SQL, know your way around an analytics tool, and have good instincts for what the numbers are actually telling you.
• Sharp prioritization instincts. You know how to find the version of a feature that delivers most of the value at a fraction of the scope.
• Comfortable using AI in your day-to-day work, whether that's for design, prototyping, writing, or coding. In a small team, knowing how to move fast with these tools makes a real difference.
• Able to work independently and manage priorities without a lot of hand-holding. Startup pace is real here.

Example Responsibilities:

• Build and optimize model serving infrastructure with a focus on inference latency and cost optimization
• Architect efficient inference pipelines that balance latency, throughput, and cost across various acceleration options
• Develop monitoring and observability solutions for ML systems
• Collaborate with ML Engineers to establish best practices for optimized model deployment
• Implement cost-efficient, enterprise-scale solutions
• Collaborate in a cross-functional, distributed team for continuous system improvement

Experience and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering with Python
• Experience with ML frameworks, particularly PyTorch
• Experience optimizing ML models with hardware acceleration (AWS Neuron , ONNX, TensorRT)
• Experience with AWS ML services and hardware-accelerated instances (Sagemaker, Inferentia,Trainium)
• Proven experience building and operating AWS serverless architectures
• Deep understanding of event-driven processing patterns, SQS/SNS and serverless caching solutions
• Experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration tools
• Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and implementation
• Proficiency in writing good quality & secure code and be familiar with static code analysis tools
• Excellent analytical, conceptual and communication skills in spoken and written English
• Experience applying Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis

Great to have Experience and Qualifications:

• Experience with any of the following: model compilation and quantization, performance profiling and benchmarking ML inference systems
• Experience working in regulated industries with strict compliance requirements for cloud-native solutions

Desired Candidate Profile

We are looking to hire a Full-stack web developer who will be responsible for the creation and enhancement of web applications according to the company's specifications. As the role takes into consideration user experience and function, a certain level of both functional domain experience and computer programming is necessary.

To be successful in this position, you will be required to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the industry's best practices in software development, development expertise in back-end technologies, and must have a professional track record of effective technical management, information analysis, and experience in latest web technologies.

You should have in-depth knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming, an understanding of MVC designs, and working knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML 5, JavaScript, and CSS3.
