Requirements:

Must-Have:

● Good interpersonal and communication skills. An analytical mind and an eye for detail

● Experience of 4-7 years in building large applications, preferably from the heavy data processing & analytics side

● Experience in architecting, designing, and building end-to-end System Design of multi tenant SAAS applications

● Experience architecting interactive configuration experiences around DAGs, configuration-heavy reporting feature, interactive data pipeline design interfaces, and charting.

● Experience in Java, Spring Boot, and GCP

● In-depth understanding of design patterns, OOPs, and Functional programming.

● Passionate programmer focused on Backend Programming.

Good to have:

● Working knowledge of GCP managed services like Kubernetes, PubSub

Your Skills & Experience:

•1-8 Years experience of implementing commerce application on any eCommerce platform in last 3 years

• If you have not worked in eCommerce platform, we can still discuss with you if you are expert in Java/.Net and understand REST/SOAP webservices.

•Demonstrate proficiency in build and release management using CI/CD strategies (leveraging tools like Jenkins and DevOps practices), implement Mocha/Chai unit and functional test cases in order to reduce costs while ensuring quality

•Contributes to designing, implementing and documenting the build release process as well as system configuration and deployment characteristics of the applications

•Participates in technical walkthroughs/ code reviews of other team members’ components, test plans and results and help them with gaps

•Collaborate with architect to define implementation processes and quality gates and standards

•Identifies risks and issues, and help monitor them

•Guides the development of reference and resource materials

•Mentors developers in improving their platform knowledge and development skills

•Communicate technical design to the developers and help/guide them in the implementation

•Participates in Agile sprints

About the role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Principal Engineer with expertise in building scalable, extensible customer payment solutions, identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks, collaborating with other team members across teams to innovate current/new products; Identify, communicate and implement best practices for the engineering team. Our engineering process is fully agile and has a really fast release cycle - which keeps our environment very energetic and fun.

What you will do:

• Architect, design and lead the development of key software infrastructure, systems, tools and processes, ensuring high scalability and performance.
• Collaborate with the product and other stakeholders across the company to solidify/ negotiate requirements and feasibility.
• Identify, influence and participate in making technical decisions that have a positive impact on engineering and business as a whole.
• Problem-solving that involves complex interactions, constraints imposed by systems, processes, people and physical goods.

• Education: Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science
• Experience: 7-10 yrs recent hands-on experience of working on scalable systems and a diverse set of products/systems.
• Experience with Java stack. Hands-on experience with development and troubleshooting of services.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and Hadoop stack.
• Experience in System Design of complex Supply-Chain e-commerce systems, Algorithm design and their optimization is a huge plus.
• Strong working knowledge of any REST-based framework, OOPS, Design Patterns
• Expert level experience in building fault-tolerant and scalable platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written (technical) communication and able to work across teams like Business, Product, Engineering, Analytics, App Engineering seamlessly.

• Exposure to open-source libraries and frameworks.
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle, design, develop, review, debug, document, and deliver (especially in a multi-location organization).
• Ability and experience in the evaluation and integration of third-party systems and libraries and independent completion of POC. Prior experience in integrating with 3rd party Payment solution (like Stripe) is a plus.
• Passion for performance benchmarking and debugging

Qualifications:

Job Role:

The ideal candidate must have the following qualifications.

• BE/B.Tech Degree from a reputed institution with at least 7 years of relevant experience
• Hands-on experience with Core Java, J2EE with a good knowledge of its ecosystem
• Experience with JUnit, JMH like performance tuning test tools preferred
• REST API design and development experience. Usage of Swagger or other API spec tools would be preferred. Working knowledge on Spring Boot is a plus
• Hands-on experience with some of the following application components is a plus: Solr, Kafka, OpenTSDB, Elasticsearch, Janus graph or any graph DB.
• Experience with databases such as MongoDB, MySQL or PostgreSQL required.
