Platform Engineer – Cloud & On-Prem Infrastructure

Location - Pune or Bangalore (WFO- 5 days)

Must-Have Skills:

• 8+ years deploying, upgrading, and maintaining infrastructure across on-premises and public cloud, with Kubernetes and Docker
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Pulumi
• Hands-on coding in Golang or Python, plus Bash scripting 

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Familiarity with Kubernetes management solutions (OpenShift, Rancher, GKE, EKS, AKS, VMware TKG) 
• Experience with VM management platforms (e.g., Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization, VMware) 
• Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD) 
• Exposure to service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)

• A platform engineer who builds and maintains the infrastructure backbone for both on-prem and cloud environments
• Passionate about automating daily operations and eliminating manual toil
• Comfortable authoring and evolving IaC (Infrastructure as a Code) templates to enforce consistency.

What You’ll Do & Learn

• Roll out & maintain on-premises and cloud infrastructure for development and testing environments 
• Implement & support CI/CD pipelines to drive our software delivery processes
• Develop automation tools that streamline routine operations and improve reliability 
• Build & enhance Infrastructure-as-Code templates (Terraform, Pulumi) for rapid, repeatable provisioning 
• Document system designs, configurations, and processes to enable an asynchronous, distributed team culture

Build smart energy solutions combining IoT sensors, edge computing, and real-time analytics.

What you'll do:

• Develop solar panel monitoring systems (Raspberry Pi/ESP32)
• Implement MQTT brokers and time-series databases (InfluxDB)
• Create energy optimization algorithms (ML-based forecasting)
• Build dashboards (Grafana, custom React apps)
• Deploy edge AI models for predictive maintenance
• Integrate with smart grid protocols

Job Profile

• Candidate should have 1-3 years of experience in PHP and Laravel.
• Developing web applications: You will be responsible for developing custom web
• applications using the Laravel framework. Must be proficient in PHP
• programming and have experience with Laravel's features and functionalities.
• Designing and implementing database schemas: You should be able to design and implement database schemas using SQL and other database management tools.
• Collaborating with front-end developers: You often work with front-end developers to integrate your back-end code with the front-end user interface.
• Debugging and testing: You must be able to troubleshoot and debug your code to ensure that the web application is functioning as expected. Should also be proficient in unit testing to ensure that your code is robust and error-free.
• Staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies: You should stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in web development and be able to apply them to your work.
• Documentation: You should document your code and ensure that it is well-structured and maintainable.
• Deployment: You are responsible for deploying your applications to the server and ensuring that they are running smoothly.
• Should have very good to excellent communication skills and be a good team player.

Mandatory skills:

• Programming skills in Python, Robot framework, Selenium, Shell scripting
• Experience on L2/L3 protocols of VLAN/DHCP/LACP/IGMP/PPPoE.

• Knowledge on regression/performance/load/scale/stability test areas
• Hands on experience with Common industry equipment like Spirent test center/ixia/Abacus/Shenick(TeraVM)/N2X Traffic generators.
• Exposure to debug tools such as Wireshark/tcpdump.

Job Requirements:

• Knowledge on software Test cycle, test plan and test case creation
• Understanding of End to end test setup topology and debugging.
• Ability to perform System level Functional and Non-functional tests.
• Familiar with Manual test life cycle
• Designing and writing test automation scripts using automation frameworks
• Exposure to CI/CD pipe line implementation and maintenance using Jenkins, Groovy scripting
• Linux skills (system configuration and administration, containers, networking experience and d) such as sockets and database management
• Good debugging skills and knowledge on various debug tools
• Bug reporting/tracking and providing logs.
