Performance Marketing Manager

Role Overview 

We are looking for a highly driven and curious Business Development Intern to join our fast-paced team at StepOut. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, operations, and execution, where you will actively contribute to building and scaling our business pipeline. 

You’ll work closely with the core team on market research, lead generation, and automation of business workflows, while gaining hands-on exposure to how a sports-tech startup operates and grows.

Key Responsibilities 

1. Research & Analysis 

● Conduct market and competitor research to identify opportunities and trends ● Analyze potential segments, partnerships, and growth channels 

● Translate research into actionable insights for business strategy 

2. Lead Generation & Scouting 

● Identify and build high-quality lead pipelines across relevant segments ● Scout potential partners, clients, and collaborators 

● Maintain structured lead databases and tracking systems

3. Outreach & Execution 

● Execute targeted outbound reach-outs (based on defined goals) 

● Support in crafting messaging and improving response rates 

● Assist in maintaining consistency and quality in all communications 

Must-Have Skills 

● Strong communication skills (Fluent in English, professional & well-spoken) ● Good understanding of business, startups, and marketing fundamentals

● Hands-on familiarity with AI tools (for productivity, research, or automation)

● Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel)

Strong in Graphic Designer (Lifestyle / Wellness / Consumer Brands)

Mandatory (Experience 1): Must have 1+years of experience as a Graphic Designer working on lifestyle, wellness, skincare, or consumer-facing brands, ideally in in-house teams or startups.

Mandatory (Experience 2): Must have hands-on experience designing end-to-end creative assets across social media, email campaigns, presentations, and internal communications

Mandatory (Experience 3): Experience working in fast-moving, content-driven environments with multiple concurrent deliverables and tight deadlines.

Mandatory (Skill 1): Strong design fundamentals — layout, typography, hierarchy, spacing, and visual storytelling.

Mandatory (Skill 2): Ability to independently manage timelines, deliver high-quality work, and iterate based on feedback with maturity.

Mandatory (Skill 3): Proficiency in design tools — Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro; ability to create motion graphics or video assets is a plus.

Mandatory (Portfolio): Must showcase 2+ completed projects or campaigns demonstrating clarity, restraint, brand consistency, and problem-solving approach in visual communication.

² Develop and maintain responsive web applications using React.

² Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX) and routing solutions.

² Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and experience with modern build tools (Webpack, Babel).

² Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library) and test-driven development (TDD).

² Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• Should have sound knowledge of PHP, MySQL, JQuery & javascript.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create and manage cloud resources in AWS 
• Data ingestion from different data sources which exposes data using different technologies, such as: RDBMS, REST HTTP API, flat files, Streams, and Time series data based on various proprietary systems. Implement data ingestion and processing with the help of Big Data technologies 
• Data processing/transformation using various technologies such as Spark and Cloud Services. You will need to understand your part of business logic and implement it using the language supported by the base data platform 
• Develop automated data quality check to make sure right data enters the platform and verifying the results of the calculations 
• Develop an infrastructure to collect, transform, combine and publish/distribute customer data.
• Define process improvement opportunities to optimize data collection, insights and displays.
• Ensure data and results are accessible, scalable, efficient, accurate, complete and flexible 
• Identify and interpret trends and patterns from complex data sets 
• Construct a framework utilizing data visualization tools and techniques to present consolidated analytical and actionable results to relevant stakeholders. 
• Key participant in regular Scrum ceremonies with the agile teams  
• Proficient at developing queries, writing reports and presenting findings 
• Mentor junior members and bring best industry practices 

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5-7+ years’ experience as data engineer in consumer finance or equivalent industry (consumer loans, collections, servicing, optional product, and insurance sales) 
• Strong background in math, statistics, computer science, data science or related discipline
• Advanced knowledge one of language: Java, Scala, Python, C# 
• Production experience with: HDFS, YARN, Hive, Spark, Kafka, Oozie / Airflow, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Docker / Kubernetes, Snowflake  
• Proficient with
• Data mining/programming tools (e.g. SAS, SQL, R, Python)
• Database technologies (e.g. PostgreSQL, Redshift, Snowflake. and Greenplum)
• Data visualization (e.g. Tableau, Looker, MicroStrategy)
• Comfortable learning about and deploying new technologies and tools. 
• Organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously and meet established deadlines.
