PHP Developer

We are looking for a Senior PHP Developer, responsible for managing back-end services and the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your co-workers into the application. Therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well.

Responsibilities

• Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers
• Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules
• Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges
• Integration of data storage solutions (may include databases, key-value stores, blob stores, etc.)

Skills :

• Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks {uch as Laravel, Magento, Joomla and Drupal}
• Understanding the fully synchronous behavior of PHP
• Understanding of MVC design patterns
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming
• Understanding accessibility and security compliance {Depending on the specific project}
• Strong knowledge of the common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
• Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
• Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes

• Experience in Java and associated technologies Core Java, JSP, Spring, Struts,RESTful Services,SOAP,Tomcat, Hibernate, Maven
• Strong understanding of OOPS concepts
• Proficient understanding of RDBMS Concepts
• Strong understanding of Databases Oracle / MSQL / MySQL etc and PL/SQL Programming

* Write “clean”, well-designed code

* Produce detailed specifications

* Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality

* Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle

* Follow industry best practices

* Develop and deploy new features to facilitate related procedures and tools if necessary

Requirements:

* Proven software development experience in PHP

* Understanding of Frameworks like Laravel, CodeIgnitor, Wordpress, Yii, etc

* Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX etc

* Good knowledge of relational databases, version control tools and of developing web services

* Experience in common third-party APIs (Google, Facebook, Ebay etc)

* Passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new bold ideas

* BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject

• Experience of using Python/ Django frameworks in building back end for Full Stack Applications
• Hands on experience on Web frameworks, Restful APIs and SOAP
• Strong command on SQL (or relevant query language or ORM queries)
• Knowledge of front-end technologies such as React Native, React.js, Angular.js or Javascript

• Has 3+ years WordPress experience & a thorough understanding of WordPress development standards and best practices.
• Has had exposure to developing, implementing, testing, and troubleshooting large scale websites and or applications built using Wordpress
• Has some experience in developing and integrating extensions in Wordpress
• Has experience with popular frameworks involving HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, MySQL, Firebase.
• Has a proficient knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, and Javascript
• Has strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Has an ability to work with existing code and build upon it
• Has excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Must be imaginative and keep a finger on the latest trends and design directions
• Can convert Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop mockups to themes for the website
• Has working experience with source control (e.g. Git)
• Has experience in WordPress Page builder - elementor is a great advantage!
• Understands what to build optimize for speed and scalability
