As web developer, you play a key role in customer experience and delight, while keeping our e-commerce website up and running, in optimum shape. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, defining and maintaining the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for integrating front-end elements built by other teams into the website/application.
- Design user interfaces & navigation menus
- Write and review code for sites, typically in HTML, XML or Java Script
- Integrate multimedia content on site
- Test web applications and troubleshoot issues to maintain the various e-commerce sites and databases in optimum condition
- Collaborate with designers, developers, other teams & stakeholders
- Create and consume restful APIs

- Write high quality, structured application/interface code and documentation

- Lead and manage the development of the Shopify Plus platform, themes, and have a good grasp of Liquid (Shopify programming language) and corresponding apps
- Design UX flows and experience in line with our brand identity, voice, and tone
- Implement system integrations that are crucial to our success
- Contribute to the development of open-source software, HTML5/CSS/JavaScript, and common web technologies integral to building seamless multi-channel experiences
- Ensure alignment with security/personal data protection principals and GPDR
- Implement advanced debugging techniques and usage of browser developer tools
- 2+ years of experience for the Developer role/5 years of experience for TL-Fullstack developer designing, querying and updating databases in MySQL/nosql
- Proficient in Liquid: Shopify Programming Language
- Basic understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX etc.
- Passion and interest in learning and staying up-to-date with design and coding best practices
- Desire to develop new bold ideas
- Knowledge of AWS, Redis, Elasticsearch preferred
- General experience building, launching and maintaining stores, as well as general knowledge of the admin system
- Demonstrable expertise with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, with an in-depth understanding of DOM
- Experience working with a template (Made theme) and/or Storefront API
- Experience with Shopify's theming system and Liquid templating, object/properties, AJAX API, and Meta fields
- Expertise in implementing/debugging 3rd party Shopify apps, as well as creating custom solutions if necessary
- Experience working with 3rd party services and APIs, specifically plugins for Shopify
- Thorough understanding of and expertise in Vanilla JavaScript, jQuery, ES2015/ES6, and modern JavaScript frameworks
- Thorough testing and debugging skills with browser console and external tools
- Experience developing for responsive layouts for a desktop, tablet, and mobile
- Ability to communicate well, giving proactive feedback to peers and team
- Good organizational skills
