We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our growing team of Data Science experts and manage the processes and people responsible for accurate data collection, processing, modelling, analysis, implementation, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Understand, monitor and maintain existing financial scorecards (ML Based) and make changes to the model when required.
• Perform Statistical analysis in R and assist IT team with deployment of ML model and analytical frameworks in Python.
• Should be able to handle multiple tasks and must know how to prioritize the work.
• Lead cross-functional projects using advanced data modelling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities.
• Develop clear, concise and actionable solutions and recommendations for client’s business needs and actively explore client’s business and formulate solutions/ideas which can help client in terms of efficient cost cutting or in achieving growth/revenue/profitability targets faster.
• Build, develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics support that support key business decisions.
• Design and build technical processes to address business issues.
• Oversee the design and delivery of reports and insights that analyse business functions and key operations and performance metrics.
• Manage and optimize processes for data intake, validation, mining, and engineering as well as modelling, visualization, and communication deliverables.
• Communicate results and business impacts of insight initiatives to the Management of the company.

Requirements

• Industry knowledge
• 4 years or more of experience in financial services industry particularly retail credit industry is a must.
• Candidate should have either worked in banking sector (banks/ HFC/ NBFC) or consulting organizations serving these clients.
• Experience in credit risk model building such as application scorecards, behaviour scorecards, and/ or collection scorecards.
• Experience in portfolio monitoring, model monitoring, model calibration
• Knowledge of ECL/ Basel preferred.
• Educational qualification: Advanced degree in finance, mathematics, econometrics, or engineering.
• Technical knowledge: Strong data handling skills in databases such as SQL and Hadoop. Knowledge with data visualization tools, such as SAS VI/Tableau/PowerBI is preferred.
• Expertise in either R or Python; SAS knowledge will be plus.

Your Skills & Experience:

•1-8 Years experience of implementing commerce application on any eCommerce platform in last 3 years

• If you have not worked in eCommerce platform, we can still discuss with you if you are expert in Java/.Net and understand REST/SOAP webservices.

•Demonstrate proficiency in build and release management using CI/CD strategies (leveraging tools like Jenkins and DevOps practices), implement Mocha/Chai unit and functional test cases in order to reduce costs while ensuring quality

•Contributes to designing, implementing and documenting the build release process as well as system configuration and deployment characteristics of the applications

•Participates in technical walkthroughs/ code reviews of other team members’ components, test plans and results and help them with gaps

•Collaborate with architect to define implementation processes and quality gates and standards

•Identifies risks and issues, and help monitor them

•Guides the development of reference and resource materials

•Mentors developers in improving their platform knowledge and development skills

•Communicate technical design to the developers and help/guide them in the implementation

•Participates in Agile sprints

Key Responsibilities

• Development of test documentation, test and deliver to agreed timelines, quality performance and customer service levels whilst minimising total cost of ownership.

• Develop and/or contribute to the development of Test Strategies, Test Plans, Test Readiness, and Test Report documentation.
• Experience in coordinating with various stakeholders teams within the project and working in an integrated test environment

• Hands-on experience working on cloud-based applications, and UI testing.

• Deploy proposed automation tools, techniques and methodologies to ensure solutions and applications are tested and verified to the highest quality.
• Design, implement and maintain the automated test cases, scripts and libraries. • Identify the modularity within a test case which can be separated as reusable logic.
• Assist other team members in using automated test cases for their testing, as per applicability. • Assist in analysing new opportunities for introducing and expanding automation imprint.
• Document the reusable components within automation frameworks.
• Identify process improvements and contribute to corporate testing standards and definition of best practices.
• Automate test methods or source off-the-shelf test equipment
• Apply emphasis on Customer Experience testing
• Perform ad hoc/exploratory testing methodically to ensure the system is working as expected by the end-user
• Provide technical guidance and coaching to peers as required
• Work with CI / CD framework and build test automation to help with various projects
• Create/Develop Test Cases from the project requirements and or use cases in discussion with Engineering

Candidate Profile:

You have:

• Experience in working with Selenium (Java or any other language) is MANDATORY.\
• Should have experience creating or maintaining a selenium-based framework.
• Should have worked in Agile methodology and derived modular test scripts from user stories and manual test cases.
• Should have experience with cross-browser testing using Selenium Grid.
• You should be able to develop automation scripts and perform debugging. Also, identify common functionality and creates re-usable scripts
• You should be able to execute automated test scripts (raise and manage defects)
• Experience with other Selenium language bindings such as Javascript or Python is an added advantage.
• Experience in handling a team

Awesome to have:

• Any experience working in Healthcare Technology Education and Experience:
• Computer Science graduate
• 1-3 years of experience in Selenium with Java
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in Testing
• Solid expertise in Linux and SQL DB (Oracle / MySql)
• Knowledge of DevOps tools like GitLab, Jenkins, Jira and X-Ray
• Work experience in CICD pipeline integration and environmental set-up.
