Job Title: Senior ETL Developer (DataStage and SQL)

Location: Pune

Overview:

We’re looking for a Senior ETL Developer with 5+ years of experience in ETL development, strong DataStage and SQL skills, and a track record in complex data integration projects.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain ETL processes using IBM DataStage and SQL for data warehousing.
• Write advanced SQL queries to transform and validate data.
• Troubleshoot ETL jobs, optimize performance, and ensure data quality.
• Document ETL workflows and adhere to coding standards.
• Lead and mentor junior developers, providing technical guidance.
• Collaborate with architects and analysts to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years in ETL development; 5+ years with IBM DataStage.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing and data integration.
• Experience in performance tuning and ETL process optimization.
• Team player with leadership abilities and excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• To Co-ordinate with regional teams and collect the required data
• Knowledge of advanced MS Excel, Presentation is a must
• Candidate must be able to handle large data sets and handle spreadsheets.
• Good at analyzing the data & Presentation
• Coordination with the team for timely submission of reports, tracking progress
• Understand the reporting model infrastructure and implement streamlined process solutions toward a more efficient reporting model.
• Preparation and analysis of daily, weekly, and monthly reports of different functions and summarizing the same
• Must be able to Generate/Update Reports, Create dashboards, Pivot tables
• Monthly/ Quarterly reconciliations and data cleansing to ensure the integrity of reported numbers.
• Review and investigate trends and provide commentary for management.
• Finding discrepancies in the process and arriving at a resolution

Role

The role is a unique opportunity to be a part of the core team at KAFQA. The responsibilities of the role are per the below:

• Understand the needs of employees across different segments across their lifecycle (discovery of Kafqa opportunities, application experience, interview experience, decision experience, onboarding, settling down, scaling with the organization, attrition & separation) & design best in class experiences always thinking technology first
• Understand the needs of instructors separately and design best in class experiences for them in partnership with head of departments and other teams.
• Meet compliances mandated by central & state governments.

The role is based in Bangalore, India and reports directly to the Founder, CEO of KAFQA.

What will I be doing? 👩‍💻👨‍💻

Leading parts of the product from inception to launch, and own large parts of the product’s execution.
Working with our Sales and frontend team to build products with the goal of delighting and increasing the success of our users.
Architecting, building, testing, and releasing product-facing features.
Contributing to our side projects and free tools for the education industry.

What do I need? 🤓

1-2 years of industry experience in a software engineering role, preferably building a SaaS product. You can demonstrate significant impact that your work has had on the product and/or the team.
Deep knowledge of a high-level programming language (for example, PHP, Python, etc.) but it doesn’t need to be a language that we use here! Great people are effective and learn what we use quickly (or introduce us to better ways of working)
Deep knowledge of SQL Databases
Experience with scalable distributed systems, both built from scratch as well as on AWS primitives
Willingness to learn and use new technologies
Extremely data-driven
Ability to debug complex systems
