Job Description

Job Title: Senior Data Engineer (Kafka & AWS)

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain real-time data pipelines using Apache Kafka (MSK or Confluent) and AWS services.
• Configure and manage Kafka connectors, ensuring seamless data flow and integration across systems.
• Demonstrate strong expertise in the Kafka ecosystem, including producers, consumers, brokers, topics, and schema registry.
• Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT workflows to efficiently process large volumes of data.
• Optimize data lake and data warehouse solutions using AWS services such as Lambda, S3, and Glue.
• Implement robust monitoring, testing, and observability practices to ensure reliability and performance of data platforms.
• Uphold data security, governance, and compliance standards across all data operations.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles.
• Proven expertise with Apache Kafka and the AWS data stack (MSK, Glue, Lambda, S3, etc.).
• Proficient in coding with Python, SQL, and Java — with Java strongly preferred.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (e.g., CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.

Mandatory (Experience 1) – Must have 5+ years of hands-on experience in Information Security, with a primary focus on cloud security across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.

Mandatory (Experience 2) – Must have strong practical experience working with Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools such as Prisma Cloud, Wiz, or Orca along with SIEM / IDS / IPS platforms

Mandatory (Experience 3) – Must have proven experience in securing Kubernetes and containerized environments including image security,runtime protection, RBAC, and network policies.

Mandatory (Experience 4) – Must have hands-on experience integrating security within CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Snyk, GitHub Advanced Security,or equivalent security scanning solutions.

Mandatory (Experience 5) – Must have solid understanding of core security domains including network security, encryption, identity and access management key management, and security governance including cloud-native security services like GuardDuty, Azure Security Center etc

Mandatory (Experience 6) – Must have practical experience with Application Security Testing tools including SAST, DAST, and SCA in real production environments

Mandatory (Experience 7) – Must have hands-on experience with security monitoring, incident response, alert investigation, root-cause analysis (RCA), and managing VAPT / penetration testing activities

Mandatory (Experience 8) – Must have experience securing infrastructure-as-code and cloud deployments using Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, Docker, and Kubernetes

Mandatory (Core Skill) – Must have working knowledge of globally recognized security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS with exposure to SOC2, GDPR, or HIPAA compliance environments

• Expert understanding of On-page and Off-page SEO

• Perform keyword research in coordination with company’s business objectives to optimize existing content and uncover new opportunities

• Provide SEO analysis and recommendations in coordination with elements and structure of websites and web pages

• Provide recommendations and execute/manage strategies for content development in coordination with SEO goals – general and keyword specific

• Develop and implement link building campaigns

• Implement and administer search engine programs (XML sitemaps, shopping feeds, webmaster tools)

• Monitor and evaluate web analytics dashboards and reports in order to develop and recommend SEO strategies

• Track, report, and analyze website analytics and PPC initiatives and campaigns.

• Experience in Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Paid Search (PPC).

• Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization.

• Creating website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices.

• Developing websites that are responsive, cross-browser compatible.

• Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration.

• Generating WordPress themes and plugins.

• Conducting website performance tests.

• Troubleshooting content issues.

• Conducting WordPress training with the client.

• Estimating development timings for individual tasks and new site builds.

• Co-ordinating with web designers to match visual design intent.

• Knowledge of code versioning tools like GIT.
