 As we move from prototype to scalable product, we are looking for a hands-on Product Manager who was a developer until recently and transitioned into Product Management in the last 1–2 years. This role requires strong technical depth, the ability to think like an engineer, and the mindset of a product owner who can drive clarity, execution, and rapid iteration.

Key Responsibilities

 • Own and drive the end-to-end product lifecycle: ideation, requirements, MVP definition, development, launch, iteration, and scale.

 • Define product vision, roadmap, and priorities in close partnership with founders and key stakeholders.

 • Translate business and customer needs into clear product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog prioritization.

 • Work deeply with engineering teams (frontend, backend, QA, AI/ML, and UI/UX) to ensure feasibility, quality, and timely delivery.

 • Leverage your prior developer experience to review technical approaches, understand architecture trade-offs, APIs, data flows, and performance constraints.

• Act as the bridge between business and engineering—ensuring clarity, speed, and alignment, especially during the pilot phase.

 • Define, track, and improve product metrics and KPIs (usage, adoption, performance, user feedback, reliability).

 • Drive agile execution: sprint planning, reviews, backlog grooming, and release planning.

• Collaborate with stakeholders across business, operations, sales, and customer teams to manage expectations and ensure alignment.

 • Support go-to-market activities including documentation, release notes, and early customer feedback loops.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.

• Strong prior experience as a software developer, with a transition into a Product Manager role within the last 1–2 years.

• Hands-on understanding of both frontend and backend systems:

     ◦ Frontend: modern web frameworks, UX considerations, performance tradeoffs.

     ◦ Backend: APIs, databases, system architecture, integrations, scalability.

• Ability to comfortably deep-dive with engineers and challenge or validate technical decisions.

• Working knowledge of AI/ML-driven products, data pipelines, or LLM-based systems is a strong plus.

• Experience working in startup or early-stage environments, preferably on products built from the ground up.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; data-driven approach to decisionmaking.

• Excellent communication skills—able to articulate technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.

• Comfortable with ambiguity, rapid change, and wearing multiple hats.

 Desirable / Nice-to-Have

• Exposure to SaaS, enterprise B2B, or AI-first products.

• Experience working with or building products for India and/or Middle East (UAE) markets.

• MBA or formal product management training is a plus (but not mandatory).

What You’ll Be Doing:

● Design and build parts of our data pipeline architecture for extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using the latest Big Data technologies.

● Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.

● Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.

● Work with machine learning, data, and analytics experts to drive innovation, accuracy and greater functionality in our data system.

Qualifications:

● Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant field.

● 10+ years of relevant and recent experience in a Data Engineer role. ● 5+ years recent experience with Apache Spark and solid understanding of the fundamentals.

● Deep understanding of Big Data concepts and distributed systems.

● Strong coding skills with Scala, Python, Java and/or other languages and the ability to quickly switch between them with ease.

● Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with a variety of relational databases such as Postgres and/or MySQL.

● Cloud Experience with DataBricks

● Experience working with data stored in many formats including Delta Tables, Parquet, CSV and JSON.

● Comfortable working in a linux shell environment and writing scripts as needed.

● Comfortable working in an Agile environment

● Machine Learning knowledge is a plus.

● Must be capable of working independently and delivering stable, efficient and reliable software.

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

● Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

You will be part of the Site Reliability Engineering Team. This role involves the design, scale, performance tuning, monitoring, and administration activities on the various databases (majority on MySQL).

Your day-to-day at Egnyte:

• Build, scale, and administer a large fleet of MySQL servers spread over multiple data centers with a focus on performance, scale, and high availability.
• Monitor and troubleshoot critical performance bottlenecks for MySQL databases before it causes downtime.
• Review and assess the impact of database schema design, topology changes prior to their implementation
• Ensure that databases are secured, maintained, backed up, and highly available.
• Review stress testing results and provide recommendations to development teams
• Automate anomaly detection to surface databases with failures, IOPS, deadlocks, and other failure reasons.
• Automate management tasks, streamline processes, and perform standard administrative functions

About you:

• Understanding of MySQL’s (5.7+) underlying storage engines
• Knowledge of Performance and scalability issues with MySQL
• Strong experience with MySQL HA using Orchestrator/ProxySQL/Consul/Pacemaker
• Experience with configuration management like Puppet/Ansible
• Knowledge of limitations in MySQL and their workarounds in contrast to other popular relational databases
• Automation experience with ‘Python/Ruby/Perl’ and ‘SQL’ scripting
• Analytical skills necessary to perform troubleshooting of errors and performance issues on a large array of Mysql cluster spread over multiple data centers.

Due to the nature of the role, it would be nice if you have also:

• Experience in other distributed systems like Redis, Elasticsearch, Memcached.
• Experience in managing a large fleet of database servers.
• Knowledge of HA and scalability issues with PostgreSQL

Good knowledge of accounting regulations, financial documents and procedures.

Manage all accounting transactions, purchase and journal entries, general ledgers, and invoicing.

Reconciliation of accounts payable and receivable.

Manage Expense Management, PO Raising, Invoice Management, and Reimbursements.

Ensure accurate and timely recording of all accounting transactions on daily basis.

Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel and any accounting software.
