Mobile App Developer

Responsibilities

·        Design and build advanced applications for the iOS platform.

·        Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

Skills

·        Proficient with Swift and Cocoa Touch

·        Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, etc.

·        Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning

·        Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services

·        Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines

·        Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools 

·        Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications

·        Knack for benchmarking and optimization

·        Proficient understanding of code versioning tools source tree, git

·        Familiarity with continuous integration

·        Solid grasp of algorithms, memory management, object oriented programming, and MVC Design

What you need to have:

Own Android SDKs, working hand-in-hand with the founding team

Design and build delightful user interfaces for native apps on Android

You will be (co-) responsible for our software development kit (SDK) for Android

Building mobile apps in both Swift and Kotlin.

You work independently on your own code, but you also spend time collaborating with others.

You are involved in all stages of app development and contribute to the roadmap.

You get the freedom to experiment with new Android technology.

Ownership — advocate for projects and solutions that need to be launched ground up.

Experience

Min 2 to 4 years in developing Android applications in Java / Kotlin / C++ /Gradle/Groovy.

Worked on SDKs/Frameworks.

Strong understanding of software design patterns as well as Android specifics.

Experience with authenticated sessions using authentication tokens and have at-least

fundamental knowledge of app security.

Good to have:-

Experience with Cross-platform frameworks is a plus (React Native, Flutter, Cordova,

Xamarin).

Have implemented security standards and guides.

Experience building applications at scale.

Experience with third-party libraries and APIs like Mobile Vision, MLKit and/or

Camera API.

Good understanding of garbage collection, design patterns and continuously

discover, evaluate,and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general

reliability

This person MUST have:

• B.E Computer Science or equivalent.
• Demonstrable portfolio of released applications on the Android market with experience in Android development. 
• In-depth knowledge of at least one programming language like Kotlin 
• Strong knowledge of how to work with RESTful APIs 
• Strong Familiarity with OOP design principles 
• Integrate with our backend web services to deliver better and faster user experience 
• Strong knowledge of version control (i.e. git, svn, etc.) 
• Ability to performance tune and scale applications 
• Agile development experience 
• Experience working at a software product company is a major plus  
• Passion to learn and develop new skills continuously 
• Strong sense of ownership in every application they build 
• Working with highly collaborative and dynamic team environments

Location:

• Remotely, anywhere in India

Timings:

• 40 hours a week but with 4 hours a day overlapping with client timezone.  Typically clients are in California PST Timezone.

Skills Required

• Minimum 6 years of strong iOS development experience with at least 2 Apps Published on App Store of Enterprise Platform.
• Strong Swift concepts along with OOPS, Computer Science fundamentals, Memory Management, App Profiling experience.
• In depth understanding of frameworks like UIKit, Foundation classes, AutoLayout, Core Data, Networking, Collections, GCD, ARC.
• Solid understanding to write modular code, template based programming which is Unit testable (Critical Requirement)
• Solid understanding of iOS architectural patterns especially VIPER (and MVVM) and their importance in scalable software development process.
• Prior understanding of Git (must have), JIRA, Trello, Confluence, etc
• Experience in iOS UI creation using Storyboards, XIB and Code.
• Experience with standard libraries like RxSwift, Swinject, Alamofire, etc.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple teams to work on different phases of the project.
• Knowledge about App Store, publishing an app and the common rejection reasons.

• Relevant experience in building a mobile application using React Native.
• Your primary focus will be on developing user interface components for mobile and implementing them following well-known React workflows. (such as Flux or Redux)
• You will ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain. 
• You will be coordinating with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. 
• Should have published at least 2 live hybrid mobile applications. 
• Good understanding of Android / iOS / Web design guidelines, SDK and excellent JavaScript skills. 
• Expertise in RESTful APIs development. 
• Expertise with code testing best practices, including unit and integration testing to ensure a quality of code. 
• Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git, TFS and Agile/SCRUM Development methodologies
