Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex software systems and applications.
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers to define and implement innovative solutions
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Write clean, maintainable and efficient code, ensuring high performance and scalability of the software.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, optimizing system performance and reliability.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, evaluating their potential for adoption in our projects.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and monitoring.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on backend development.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, Golang or C#
• Strong understanding of database systems, both relational (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Hands-on experience with message brokers such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Amazon SQS.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure or Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable, high-performance systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Job Description: 

We are looking for an experienced SQL Developer to become a valued member of our dynamic team. In the role of SQL Developer, you will be tasked with creating top-notch database solutions, fine-tuning SQL databases, and providing support for our applications and systems. Your proficiency in SQL database design, development, and optimization will be instrumental in delivering efficient and dependable solutions to fulfil our business requirements.

Responsibilities:

 ● Create high-quality database solutions that align with the organization's requirements and standards.

● Design, manage, and fine-tune SQL databases, queries, and procedures to achieve optimal performance and scalability.

● Collaborate on the development of DBT pipelines to facilitate data transformation and modelling within our data warehouse.

● Evaluate and interpret ongoing business report requirements, gaining a clear understanding of the data necessary for insightful reporting.

● Conduct research to gather the essential data for constructing relevant and valuable reporting materials for stakeholders.

● Analyse existing SQL queries to identify areas for performance enhancements, implementing optimizations for greater efficiency.

● Propose new queries to extract meaningful insights from the data and enhance reporting capabilities.

● Develop procedures and scripts to ensure smooth data migration between systems, safeguarding data integrity.

● Deliver timely management reports on a scheduled basis to support decision-making processes.

● Investigate exceptions related to asset movements to maintain accurate and dependable data records.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

● A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in SQL development and administration, showcasing a strong proficiency in database management.

● A solid grasp of SQL database design, development, and optimization techniques.

● A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

● An excellent understanding of DBT (Data Build Tool) and its practical application in data transformation and modelling.

● Proficiency in either Python or JavaScript, as these are commonly utilized for data-related tasks.

● Familiarity with NoSQL databases and their practical application in specific scenarios.

• Participate and contribute in Solution Design and Solution Architecture for implementing Big Data Projects on-premise and on cloud
• Technical Hands on experience in design, coding, development and managing Large Hadoop implementation
• Proficient in SQL, Hive, PIG, Spark SQL, Shell Scripting, Kafka, Flume, Scoop with large Big Data and Data Warehousing projects with either Java, Python or Scala based Hadoop programming background
• Proficient with various development methodologies like waterfall, agile/scrum and iterative
• Good Interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills for US and UK based clients
