Role

Requirement

●        8+ years of experience in hard core development in predominantly product development companies

●        Strong troubleshooting, debugging and problem-solving skills

●        Proven track record of building scalable and reliable services on Cloud

●         Architecture & Design

●        Solid experience of designing end-to-end architecture and design of applications using one or more platforms for large-scale high-throughput solutions

●        Design and implement technical governance process as appropriate across the application development lifecycle

●        coding guidelines, quality standards, best practices, code acceptance criteria, automation

●        Experience in collaborating with the team in reviewing application architecture. - Node.js, Web Services REST, MySQL/MongoDB/NoSQL

Education: Engineering/MBA

Requirements

• Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, Javascript (React.js), XML, jQuery)
• Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js)
• 8 - 10 years of overall experience including 3+ years in mentoring & leading a high-performance team
• Experience developing desktop and mobile applications
• Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design
• Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)
• Have a strong understanding and appreciation for design first thinking and quality of user experience
• Be well-versed in sprint estimation, planning, tracking, change management and delivery, with prior experience of Agile-based development environments
• Strong command on vanilla/core JavaScript
• Knowledge of UI optimisations and performance.
• Deeper understanding of Chrome Dev Tools. Should understand the nuances of the timeline for perf monitoring.
• Deeper understanding of network layer, HTTP, HTTPS, cookies, local storage.
• Good communication skills, good visual design sense, in-depth experience in developing web-based applications.
• Strong technical aptitude and a good knowledge of CSS fundamentals

Experience:
• 8 - 15 years of experience building Full Stack applications with a focus on performance and low latency
• 2 - 5 years of experience building React and/or Mobile Applications. Some exposure is a plus but not
mandatory.
• 5 - 8 years working with microservices, API servers, databases, cloud-native development, observability,
alerting and monitoring
• Deep exposure to cloud services, preferably Azure
• Preferably worked in the Retail domain or other similar domains with complex business requirements
• Contributed to & actively maintained one or more open-source projects
• Blogging on performance or related topics
• Speaking engagements at Meetups or Conferences.

Core Skills:
• Strong understanding of Operating Systems, Database,s and Networking fundamentals
• Good understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and Web Sockets
• Exposure to the Frontend side of the world on Web and Mobile
• Strong understanding of Distributed Systems, Fault Tolerance, and Resiliency. Exposure to setting up and
managing Chaos is a plus
• Exposure to Domain Driven Design (DDD), SOLID principles, and Data Modelling on various RDBMS, NoSQL
databases
• Exposure to building high-performance APIs with the ability to isolate problems in different parts of the
request/response journey
• Good understanding of CNCF projects with a specific focus on Observability, Monitoring, Tracing, Sidecars,
Kubernetes
• Participate in architecture reviews to identify potential issues, and bottlenecks and provide early guidance
• Deep knowledge of at least 2 different programming languages and runtimes. Any two of JavaScript, Ruby,
Python, Swift, Go, Rust, C#, Dart, Kotlin, Java, Haskell, OCaml
• Excellent verbal and written communication

• Hands-on skills combined with leadership qualities to guide teams

Dynamic technical leader who can lead a cutting-edge product development team that is tasked with building world class business applications. This role reports to the CTO and will be responsible for engineering one of the key products lines of SmartDocs. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Manage the end-to-end engineering process to ensure the product releases are released successfully as per the published product roadmap  
• Coordinate requirements prioritization and product managers 
• Release products with proper quality  
• Coordinate code reviews and ensure proper development guidelines are adhered to 
• Coordinate QA testing with QA teams 
• Coordinate proper documentation is released 
• Coordinate with DevOps engineers to maintain proper development landscape 
• Nurture and expand the dynamic development team that is nimble and can meet the requirements of the product managers 
  
  

Key experience and required skills: 

• At least 2 years' experience managing successful development teams building modern web applications in the role of “Developer Manager” or Engineering Manager” or higher 
• Experience as a senior Java developer for at least 2 years with full hands-on development experience 
• Excellent understanding of modern web application architectures and architecture patterns 
• Expertise in Agile and agile-type processes 
• Experience being part of SaaS product development is a definite plus 
• Significant experience in management reporting and communication to executive leadership teams
