Lead Engineer - Frontend

Our work covers branding, communication, packaging and digital, for editorial, social, consumer and product businesses. We are hiring talented Web Developers to join our team. The CTC will depend on how the candidate performs in the interview process.

Responsibilities for Front End Developer

• translate UI/UX design wireframes to actual pixel-perfect code
• develop a responsive website using HTML and CSS
• develop complex animations using CSS and javascript that is responsive, fast, bug-free, and cross-browser/device compatible 
• write reusable code and libraries, enhance applications for maximum speed and scalability, validate input before submitting to the back end and follow other industrywide best practices to maintain the best quality of the code and websites
• the developed code should be secure, scalable, responsive, and fast and should incorporate all the latest features
• experiment with the latest technologies and create new work processes in the organization

Qualifications for Front-End Developer

• good communication skills and proficiency in English is a must
• 3 - 6 years of full-time work experience in a similar role
• expert knowledge of HTML/CSS, React.JS, and Javascript is a required
• working knowledge of WordPress, Shopify, Liquid.JS, Next.JS, GraphQL and other libraries is a plus
• good understanding of SEO
• proficient in code visioning tools like GitHub
• ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving benchmarks
• advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize code for the best possible outcome
• understanding of web security issues and best practices
• familiarity with network diagnostics tools
• team management skills

• You have a strong appreciation for design and interaction, as well as an intimate understanding and appreciation for presentation layer code.
• You love puzzles, problem-solving and have proven in-depth knowledge in a variety of tech stacks.

• 3 + years of Hands-on development and delivery experience with JavaScript, and frameworks the likes
• HTML, CSS, React Js, Vue Js, Webpack, Grunt, Gulp.
• Testing tools like Jasmine, Jest, Enzyme
• Passion for software engineering and craftsman-like coding prowess
• Great OO skills, including strong design patterns knowledge
• Experience working with Agile, TDD, Lean, and/or Continuous Delivery approaches and best practices, such as Extreme Programming (XP)
• Enthusiastic to work collaboratively with people and sharing your ideas to solve real business problems.

• Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
• Translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code
• Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
• Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)
• Familiarity with newer specifications of EcmaScript
• Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js)
• Knowledge of isomorphic React is a plus
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization
• Ability to work through new and difficult React Native Issues and contribute to libraries as needed.
• Ability to create and maintain continuous integration and delivery of React Native applications.

• Experience in developing modern web applications using React and Redux.
• Strong proficiency in CSS, JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
• Good understanding of Database schema, design, optimization, scalability.
• Great communication skills, strong work ethic.
• Ownership of the product from start to finish.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.

• Experience with AWS
• Expert level understanding of the HTML DOM and underlying event model
• Prior Open source contributions
• Experience building responsive design.
