At Shopflo, we're trying to change the way consumers experience brands and businesses. Our first product was a cart and checkout platform for e-commerce, that allowed marketers to personalise discounts, rewards, and payments. We are currently also working on a new product that takes it a notch higher by unlocking enterprise-grade personalization for all consumer tech businesses.

Shopflo was founded by three co-founders:

• Ankit Bansal (ex-IIT Kharagpur, Oracle, Gupshup)
• Ishan Rakshit (ex-IIT Bombay, Parthenon, Elevation Capital)
• Priy Ranjan (ex-IIT Madras, McKinsey, Elevation Capital)

We’re a fast-growing team of ~50 people, based in HSR Layout, Bengaluru. We raised a $3.8M seed round from Tiger Global, TQ Ventures.

 What you will do

• Design and develop microservice that can work in a large-scale multi-tenant environment.
• Explore design implications and work towards an appropriate balance between functionality, performance, and maintainability.
• Working with a cross-discipline team of Design, Product, Data Science and Analytics team.
• Deploy and maintain the application in a secured AWS environment.
• Take ownership from the ideation phase to deployment and maintenance.
• Active participation in the hiring process to bring world-class programmers in the team.

You should apply if you have:

• 2-4 years of experience in server-side development
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, Node or Golang
• Hands-on experience in API development and frameworks such as Spring, Node, or Django.
• Good Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience in test-driven development. (writing unit test and API test).
• Understanding of basic cloud computing concepts and experience in using any of the major cloud service providers(AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Ability to build and deploy the application in a containerized environment.
• Understanding of application logging and monitoring systems like Prometheus or Kibana.
• B. E/B. Tech/M. E. /M. Tech/M. S. from a reputed university with a good academic record.
• Curiosity to explore cutting-edge technologies and bake them into the products.
• Zeal and drive to take end-to-end ownership.

Key Role Requirements:

• Experience in Java-J2EE Development
• Hands-on experience in Struts (Core Java, JSP, Servlets, EJB) framework.

• Should have worked on application servers like IBM WAS / Jboss / Web logic.
• Knowledge of basic Linux commands and BIRT reporting tool is an added advantage.

Requirements:

• 2+ years’ experience in software product development and delivery.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in engineering from a reputed institute(preferably IITs, NITs, or other top engineering institutes).
• Strong grasp of CS fundamentals, algorithms and excellent problem solving abilities.
• All experience should be from good product development or e-commerce background.
• Must have shown good stability in all your previous associations.
• Have strong backend knowledge and cloud development exposure.
• Expert at Java, Spring boot, Hibernate, REST API development.
• Worked with at least 1 RDBMS (Mysql preferred). NoSql is a plus.
• Have used or are very hands-on with Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, Gradle/Ant, Kafka, GIT/bitbucket in a very agile work place.
• Writing high quality code which is made better by unit tests and integration tests is how you work.
• Comfortable with exploring proven open source tech stack like Grafana, Kibana, Jira, Prometheus, caches like Redis/Memcached, task queues like celery, to name a few.
• Knowledge of test driven development and AWS tech stack will be a good plus.

Role Overview

CareStack seeks to hire Software Development Engineer - 1 to build its next generation healthcare platform. You will be reporting to a Staff SDE in your business unit , to develop and release services and solutions for our platform, aligning with your business unit’s goals and objectives.

Key responsibilities

●    Technical Design

You can be a specialist in technology areas, but capable of creating complete designs to solve a specific problem that accomplishes a definitive product feature or enables a technical advancement.You should work with your lead to review your design and embrace the feedback

●    Process Definition/Adherence

You should deliver estimations, review test scenarios/cases created by QAs in your team, participate in sprint grooming and planning meetings. You must learn, practice and evangelize standard techniques for grooming, defining complexity of stories and estimation.

●    Code Quality

At Carestack we believe that your code reflects your character. Code for scale, produce maintainable reusable code. You must commit to clean coding, continuous refactoring to ensure a high level of code quality. Continuously learn, practice and evangelize coding patterns/best practices within and outside your team. ●    Have an insatiable itch to join and the courage to scale an early-stage technology company.

●    Have 2-4 years of experience in building modern day web platforms, using Microsoft technologies on the backend.

●    Can be a generalist or specialist with deep understanding of building software components that meet defined requirements, with good understanding of .NET Core/ASP.NET.

●    Are proficient in data structures and algorithms, and object oriented analysis and design of software systems.

●    Are a backend specialist with good understanding of event driven programming, distributed systems, caching/in-memory computing systems, data modeling for transactional systems.

●    Solid understanding of relational and non relational databases including warehouses.Preferably MySQL, MSSQL, Vertica and CosmosDB

●    Solid understanding of CI/CD patterns and IaC.

●    Expertise in building ETLs in both batch and streaming model.

●    Expertise in building and testing APIs and micro services

You have experience with the following:

• Strong experience of leading and being part of technical teams preferably following agile methodology.
• Strong technical background with ability to provide technical guidance to other team members.
• Knowledge of microservices and must have experience of implementing a few microservices by the least.
• Knowledge of API driven platform development & Software Integration.
• You have hands-on experience in building secure, high-performing and scalable systems in Java.
• Exposure to JVM based languages like Java, Scala, Clojure.
