Role Description :

• Collaborate with clients and project teams to understand business requirements and develop efficient, high-quality code that meets or exceeds client expectations.
• Optimize application performance for smooth operation on multiple delivery platforms, including cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Design and implement low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications using frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Lead the integration of user interface elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Deep understanding of microservices architecture, multi-tenant architecture, and best practices in Python development.

Job Overview

As the Tech Lead, you will play a critical role in defining the future of our advanced ad tech platform. This position requires full technical ownership of a high-impact project, where you’ll architect and implement a scalable, high-performance system while guiding a dedicated team of developers to advance our product roadmap.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Independent Project Leadership: Lead a dedicated project stream within our ad tech platform, from initial architecture and design through to delivery. Take full accountability for your project’s technical vision, resource planning, and execution, ensuring it meets performance and scalability requirements.
• Strategic Technical Ownership: Define and implement a technical roadmap that aligns with Streamlyn’s goals, focusing on scalability, resilience, and innovation. Ensure project components are optimized for real-time bidding, ad serving, and data processing requirements unique to ad tech.
• Performance & Scalability: Architect a platform capable of processing billions of requests daily with minimal latency. Utilize advanced load balancing, caching, and database technologies to achieve optimal performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years in software development with hands-on ad tech experience, ideally in building ad servers, header bidding solutions, oRTB (Open Real-Time Bidding) integrations, and data pipelines.
• Technical Proficiency -
• Languages: Advanced knowledge in Java and Python.
• Databases: Strong experience with MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Aerospike, and familiarity with other NoSQL technologies.
• Data Pipeline: Proven experience designing and implementing data pipelines for handling large-scale ad data in real-time, including ingestion, processing, and transformation.
• Infrastructure and Cloud: Proficiency with AWS Cloud services, including EMR, EKS, and Docker Containers. Experience with Apache Spark, Kafka, and MKS.

Our clients are pricing their products based on our data, and minor errors on our end can lead to our client's losses of millions of dollars. You would work with multiple tools and with people across various departments to ensure the accuracy of the data being crawled. You would setup manual and automated processes and make sure they run to ensure the highest possible data quality.

Your Responsibilities would be to:

• Understand customer web scraping and data requirements; translate these into test approaches that include exploratory manual/visual testing and any additional automated tests deemed appropriate
• Take ownership of the end-to-end QA process in newly-started projects
• Draw conclusions about data quality by producing basic descriptive statistics, summaries, and visualisations
• Proactively suggest and take ownership of improvements to QA processes and methodologies by employing other technologies and tools, including but not limited to: browser add-ons, Excel add-ons, UI-based test automation tools etc.
• Ensure that project requirements are testable; work with project managers and/or clients to clarify ambiguities before QA begins
• Drive innovation and advanced validation and analytics techniques to ensure data quality for Anakin's customers
• Optimize data quality codebases and systems to monitor the Anakin family of app crawlers
• Configure and optimize the automated and manual testing and deployment systems used to check the quality of billions of data points of over 1000+ crawlers across the company
• Analyze data and bugs that require in-depth investigations
• Interface directly with external customers including managing relationships and steering requirements

Basic Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience as a backend or a full-stack software engineer
• Web scraping experience with Python or Node.js
• 2+ years of experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.
• Should have managed a team of software engineers
• Should be paranoid about data quality

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Deep experience with network debugging across all OSI layers (Wireshark)
• Knowledge of networks or/and cybersecurity
