Job Title: Lead Software Engineer

Purpose of the Role

The incumbent will be responsible for designing and developing robust software solutions for products in the domains of Warehouse Automation, Industrial Automation, Robotics, and IoT. The role includes defining software architecture, ensuring scalability and performance, and mentoring the development team to drive technical excellence and innovation.

Technical Skills Required

• Proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying high-volume, scalable applications.
• Expertise in distributed systems, microservices, and central system architectures.
• Programming & Frameworks: Proficiency in Java 17+.
• Experience with frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, Kubernetes, and RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of JPA, MS SQL, and database modelling/design.
• Hands-on experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure for cloud architecture.
• Familiarity with virtualization and containerization technologies.
• Strong skills in data modelling and database design.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices.
• Tech stack: Java, MSSQL, MySQL, Spring Boot, Redis, Data Structures, Linux, basics of Kubernetes.

Job Responsibilities

1. Understand requirements and define database and application structure under guidance of Software Architect.
2. Write high-quality, scalable, and efficient code.
3. Prepare Functional Requirement Documents (FRD) based on inputs from BA team.
4. Guide junior and mid-level developers and provide technical support.
5. Collaborate to identify and fix technical issues in UAT/Production.
6. Work closely to meet project deadlines.
7. Take ownership of product implementations at customer sites.
8. Hands-on development for assigned modules/products.
9. Handle application performance in production.
10. Work with customers to understand automation requirements.
11. Review and merge code changes from the team.
12. Conduct sprint meetings, demos, and resolve development roadblocks.
13. Optimize code for performance and efficiency.

Wordpress:

Should have hands-on experience in WordPress & HOOKS concepts.

Extensive knowledge and experience of building WordPress CMS websites using the best practice & de-facto standard plugins.

- Knowledge of Customization of themes & plugins

- Experience working with WordPress at a PHP code level.

- Knowledge of existing inbuilt WordPress functions.

- Theme Template integration.

- Good understanding of cross-platform and cross-browser issues.

- Experience in developing E-Commerce websites

Shopify:

Should have hands-on experience in Shopify API & APP concepts.

Extensive knowledge and experience of building custom stores.

- Knowledge of Customization of themes & apps

- Experience working with Shopify API's

- Knowledge of existing inbuilt Shopify system.

- Theme Template integration.

- Good understanding of cross-platform and cross-browser issues

• Develop, record, and maintain cutting edge web-based PHP applications on portal plus premium service platforms
• Build innovative, state-of-the-art applications and collaborate with the User Experience (UX) team
• Ensure HTML, CSS, and shared JavaScript is valid and consistent across applications
• Prepare and maintain all applications utilizing standard development tools
• Utilize backend data services and contribute to increasing existing data services API
• Lead the entire web application development life cycle right from concept stage to delivery and post-launch support

Requirements:

·        More than 4-8 years’ experience in PHP

·        Must have minimum 4 years work experience in Laravel framework

·        Knowledge and experience in: MySQL, JQuery, Bootstrap, HTML,CSS

·        Knowledge on Coding Standards, Design Patterns, and Best Practices

·        Has actual experience and understanding on Agile Software Development

·        Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.

·        Able to mentor, collaborate and guide other team members

• Work with business analysts to estimate and design effective, scalable and maintainable solutions that meet business initiatives and objectives
• Develop and unit test software that meets business requirements and technical design
• Troubleshoot pre- and post-production implementations
• Propose new ideas when there is strong business value and stay up to date on the latest technology trends and techniques

Critical Skills & Experiences:

• At least 5+ years of experience developing in Java technologies with equivalent experience in systems analysis, OO design, OO programming and debugging skills
• At least 5 years of experience in Java Spring Boot Framework development
• 2 years of experience in any Cloud platform, preferably AWS.
• At least 3 years of web services and relational database experience (preferably Mysql)
• At least a year of Elastic search experience
• Experience developing RESTful web services (preferably micro services)
• Experience with UNIX/Linux command line and shell scripting
• Experience working in cross-functional Agile/Scrum teams
• Any level of experience with JIRA or any other issue tracking technology
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders
• Experience with Java application profiling and profiling tools
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

What you need to have:

The ideal candidate will efficiently and quickly write PHP in a timely and scalable way in order to improve the code-base of the company's products in meaningful ways. This candidate will be able to test the code and make adjustments where necessary. They should also have experience in contributing to the whole software design lifecycle. Minimum Experience Required 5-7 Years.
