Role Description:

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Sr. Python/Cypress Automation Engineer located in Ahmedabad, India, with flexibility for some remote work. The Sr. Python/Cypress Automation Engineer will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining a scalable automation framework for web and mobile applications. The Sr. Python/Cypress Automation Engineer will also work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues, and collaborate with other QA engineers to ensure high-quality solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with 4+ years of relevant work experience
• Strong proficiency in Python with excellent understanding of: Python unit testing frameworks (PyTest, Unittest), web-scraping (bs4, lxml), and good-to-have modules (requests, lxml, pandas, numpy, etc.)
• Good Knowledge in testing frameworks such as Cypress, Selenium, Appium, and TestNG
• Experience in End-to-End testing, Integration testing, Regression testing, and API testing
• Demonstrated experience with test reporting tools such as Allure, ExtentReports, and Cucumber
• Excellent understanding of CI/CD pipeline, build automation, and deployment pipelines
• Experience in software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum and Kanban
• Expertise in SQL and other databases like DynamoDB, MongoDB, etc.
• An analytical mind with keen problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Role: Senior Software Test Engineer

As a part of multiple, small product teams practicing Agile, you will do it all: develop test strategies, test

new products, and code automated and performance tests that push our products to their limits!

Responsibilities:

• Analyze product specs, decompose complicated software systems, and design strategies to test

these systems.

• Work as an Agile team member participating in backlog grooming, sprint planning and task

estimation.

• Devise automation test strategies, expand and maintain test automation for the applications you

support.

• Represent Test Engineering in any technical discussion, decision and design involved during

product development.

• Drive adoption of new test strategies and tools you are passionate about.

• Mentor and guide others on the team.

Required experience:

• 6+ years of experience in Software Testing.

• 4+ years of automation experience testing Web, Mobile applications using Java.

• Solid experience testing and automating REST services.

• Extensive experience using SQL databases

• Experience with Git, Jenkins & Maven

• Passion for finding problems with software, figuring out solutions, and helping ensure they never

happen again.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

This role is for a passionate and meticulous Test Engineer, with a strong focus on ensuring better customer experience through hands-on implementation of QA best practices

• Designing test strategies, covering functional and non-functional requirements, planning, execution, reporting and automating
• 100% automation accountability
• Multitask on release deliverables, customer issues, stake-holder management
• Ensuring traceability matrix processes between requirements, test design, test cases artifacts to achieve 100% customer requirements coverage
• Plan and achieve code coverage targets via test design and test automation
• Prompt and meticulous in reporting status of ongoing tasks/deliverables
• Challenging status-quo, responding to opportunities/organization needs, showing proactive accountability with a strong focus on fundamentals of Test engineering

Mandatory skills:

• Deep understanding of SaaS/Web-based applications/ Micro Services architecture
• Strong in fundamentals of Functional and Non-functional testing concepts (Reliability, Stress, Load, Limits, Performance, Scalability, Usability, Security, Configuration/Compatibility, ad-hoc, etc.)
• Automation :
  Selenium (Java) OR
  API testing (Jmeter, RestAssured)
• SDLC, STLC (Agile), JIRA, Defect Life Cycle
• At least 1 - 4 years of experience in tech product companies.
• BE/BTech/MTech graduate
