Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building robust server-side applications and services. You will work closely with frontend developers to ensure seamless integration between the server-side logic and user-facing features.

Responsibilities:

• Implement efficient and secure backend services using Node.js and Python.
• Design and implement data storage solutions using MongoDB.
• Write effective APIs to support frontend functionalities.
• Optimize applications for performance, security, and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Maintain cloud services on AWS, including AWS EC2, Amplify, S3, Route 53, Cloudfront, Lambda & AWS CLI..
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across the backend stack.

Requirements:

• Proficient understanding of the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).
• Good experience using Docker and cloud services (AWS or Digital Ocean).
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and testing APIs with Postman.
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms (e.g., JWT).
• Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex issues.
• Experience or knowledge of GraphQL is a plus.

• Sr PHP Dev:
•  - 6+ years of Exp

Aphro ECS  is looking to hire a talented PHP/ Laravel Developer to manage our back-end services and ensure a seamless interchange of data between the server and our users. As a PHP developer, you will be responsible for developing and coding all server-side logic. You will also be required to maintain the central database and respond to requests from front-end developers.

To ensure success as a PHP developer, you should have in-depth knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming, an understanding of MVC designs, and working knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3. Ultimately, a top-level PHP Developer can design and build efficient PHP modules while seamlessly integrating front-end technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting analysis of website and application requirements.
• Writing back-end code and building efficient PHP modules.
• Work on improving database schema.
• Troubleshooting application and code issues.
• Should be comfortable working with legacy codebase.
• Should be able to identify and fix performance bottlenecks.

We are looking for a Developer who is proficient with Node and has at least 1-3 years of relevant experience. Your primary role will be on developing microservices, while ensuring good coding practices and architecture. You will have end to end ownership of the services you develop, to ensure it is robust and easy to maintain. You will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, and quality product is important.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Integrating and maintaining Node micro services
• Proficient in RESTful APIs and API communications, especially to consume data from and/or push data into MongoDB for Web and mobile applications
• Proficient on modeling applications on NOSQL databases(preferably MongoDB)

Desired Candidate Profile

• Strong coding experience in Node JS.
• Should have experience with microservice architecture
• Compile and analyze data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement

Nice to have:

• Some experience with queues like like Redis,SQS,etc
• Experience with cloud solutions like Lambda, Docker etc
• Experience in DevOps and related practices to improve development lifecycle, continuous delivery with high quality is an advantage.
• Deploy server/related components to staging, live environments.
• Some exposure to React Frontend implementation, deeper JS skills

• As a Senior Software Engineer you will work closely with the Tech Lead, and the rest of the engineering team to build and scale a data-driven platform. This role will act as a great springboard to accelerate career growth & transition into a Tech Lead level role.
• Your primary focus will be the development of server-side logic, building new services and APIs, developing UI components, supporting the maintenance of current APIs, reviewing work, and improving the performance and reliability of our systems as we rapidly scale our product and organization.
• An effective Senior Software Engineer will be a self-motivated learner; a highly creative engineer having obsessive attention towards detail and thoroughness.

Must Haves

• You’ve been building web applications professionally for 5+ years
• You’re proficient in NodeJS, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
• You possess strong OOP and design pattern knowledge
• Familiar with modern engineering practices: Code Reviews, Continuous Deployment, Automated Testing, etc
• You write understandable, testable code with an eye towards maintainability and experienced with TDD (Test Driven Development)
• You’ve the ability to build RESTful APIs
• Explaining complex technical concepts to designers, support team, and fellow engineers is not a problem for you
• Well versed with the fundamentals of computer science and distributed systems

Nice-to-haves

• FrontEnd experience; have built applications in either: React, Vue, Angular, or Svelte
• Startup experience, preferably a tech startup
• Open Source contributor
• You have experience with other programming languages -- e.g. Python, Ruby, PHP, Go, C, etc.
• Passionate about/experienced with open source and developer tools
• You have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience
