Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Java Drools Developer to design, develop, and maintain rule-based applications using Drools. The ideal candidate will have strong backend development skills and hands-on experience with business rule management systems in enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain business rules using Drools (BRMS)
• Create and manage Drools Rule Files (DRL), decision tables, and rule flows
• Integrate Drools with Java / Spring Boot applications
• Optimize rule execution, performance, and scalability
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs
• Collaborate with business analysts to translate requirements into rules
• Participate in code reviews and ensure best practices
• Support testing, debugging, and production issues

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Java
• Solid experience with Drools Rule Engine / BRMS
• Experience with Spring / Spring Boot and microservices architecture
• Knowledge of REST APIs and backend integrations
• Understanding of rule lifecycle management and versioning
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills

Essential Responsibilities:

Demonstrate the understanding of Agile software development life cycle and distinguish the core inputs and outputs in each cycle.

Work closely with your peers and keep engaging in a fast pace technical design and development team

Execute in a fast pace delivery mode and focus on delivering tasks to meet monthly and quarterly digital product release goals

Lead impact assessment and decisions related to technology choices, design / architectural considerations and implementation strategy

Maintain code quality through best practices, unit testing and code quality automation

Demonstrate the ability to make informed technology choices after due diligence and impact assessment

Help in designing interfaces and information exchange between modules

Articulate the need for scalability and understand the importance of improving quality through testing.

Be an expert in writing code that meets standards and delivers the desired functionality using the technology selected for the project

Drive design reviews, define interfaces between code modules, and apply existing technology to designs

Be an expert in assessing application performance and optimizing/improving it through design and best coding practices

·      BlueYonder is seeking a Senior/Principal Architect in the Data Services department (under Luminate Platform ) to act as one of key technology leaders to build and manage BlueYonder’ s technology assets in the Data Platform and Services.

·      This individual will act as a trusted technical advisor and strategic thought leader to the Data Services department. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead, participate, guide, and mentor other people in the team on architecture and design in a hands-on manner. You are responsible for technical direction of Data Platform. This position reports to the Global Head, Data Services and will be based in Bangalore, India.

·      Core responsibilities to include Architecting and designing (along with counterparts and distinguished Architects) a ground up cloud native (we use Azure) SaaS product in Order management and micro-fulfillment

·      The team currently comprises of 60+ global associates across US, India (COE) and UK and is expected to grow rapidly. The incumbent will need to have leadership qualities to also mentor junior and mid-level software associates in our team. This person will lead the Data platform architecture – Streaming, Bulk with Snowflake/Elastic Search/other tools

Our current technical environment:

·      Software: Java, Springboot, Gradle, GIT, Hibernate, Rest API, OAuth , Snowflake

·      • Application Architecture: Scalable, Resilient, event driven, secure multi-tenant Microservices architecture

·      • Cloud Architecture: MS Azure (ARM templates, AKS, HD insight, Application gateway, Virtue Networks, Event Hub, Azure AD)

·      Frameworks/Others: Kubernetes, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Spark, NOSQL, RDBMS, Springboot, Gradle GIT, Ignite

Requirements & Responsibilities:

- 3+ years of experience developing web applications using J2EE.

- 3+ years of experience in Spring Boot.

- Understanding of MicroServices.

- Experience working with tools like Git, Maven, and AWS.

- Expertise in developing RESTful APIs.

- Experience writing Unit and Integration tests.

- Background working with Linux/UNIX environments.

- Strong working knowledge with RDBMS like MySql, Postgres and NoSQL databases like Mongo

- Passion to stay on top of the latest happenings in the tech world and an attitude to discuss and bring those into play.

- Experience with agile/scrum development

- Strong collaboration and communication skills 

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent
