Job Description :
- Experience in Java/J2EE technologies - design development of high-volume, high-performance, high-availability, service-oriented applications
- Design and govern the reusable accelerators, design patterns and reusable technical components (e.g. error handling, logging etc.)
- Strong knowledge in developing scalable web applications using Spring Boot with JDBC, JPA, Security, RESTful Web Services
- Experience in front end development using HTML5, JQuery, React JS or Angular
- Research and implement new tools, frameworks and patterns to build a hybrid cloud applications
- Strong knowledge in Database – MySQL / PostgreSQL
- Knowledge of deploying applications in Ubuntu on Cloud Infrastructure
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for automatic application deployment will be an added advantage
- Lead a team and provide technical knowledge to team members during development

What you'll work on
As a Software Engineer, you will be working on development project which will be based on API transitions, API Management ,API Monetization engine (based on Java, Springboot & AWS) and high traffic transactions.
Key responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer, you apply deep experience and technical know-how in the Software Engineering domain with-
• 7-10 years of experience
• Design, build and maintain multiple complex software application technologies and their interaction with Telstra processes and systems
• Develop innovative software that maintains data/network security management, and leverage set processes to reduce the time between commission and production
• Authentically engage with and influence a multi-stakeholder landscape to translate customer needs into leading-edge software application products, services or systems that meet Telstra’s time, cost and quality standards
• Collaborate with team members and key stakeholders, seeking support, direction and buy-in to gather deep insights about the challenges and opportunities of our software application technologies and platforms
• Significantly contribute to continuous improvement initiatives of our systems and processes, to help define ‘best practice’ corporate testing standards and drive improved outcomes (e.g. productivity, customer experience and/or profitability)
• Lead initiatives or components of initiatives in line with the strategic direction of your team/mission, that have a significant degree of impact to the function or cross-functionally
• Take ownership of your own actions and decisions to drive positive outcomes within your team/mission, and provide guidance to more junior engineers in order to support their development and contribution to team/mission outcomes

• Lead Software Engineer is a technical hands-on role, with responsibilities ranging

Qualifications:
• 7 - 10 years of software engineering experience, including a successful track record
developing customer-facing SaaS/PaaS products.
• 3+ years working experience in core Java and Spring Framework, preferably with
Spring Cloud Netflix.
• 3+ years working experience within microservice architecture, specifically utilizing
REST services, XML, and JSON.
• Excellent programming discipline: data structures, complexity analysis, objectoriented
principles, design patterns, and unit testing.
• Experience with API development and integration with 3rd-party services is
preferred.
• Excellent understanding of O/R mapping concepts and tools (Hibernate, JPA).
• Fluent in Databases/SQL (MySQL experience preferred).
• Extensive experience in developing applications which are deployed in AWS. AWS
experience is a big plus.
• Team player with can-do attitude to independently own and drive projects.
• Strong experience working with an Agile development team with rapid iterations.
