Role Overview

We are seeking a Junior Developer with 1-3 year’s experience with strong foundations in Python, databases, and AI technologies. The ideal candidate will support the development of AI-powered solutions, focusing on LLM integration, prompt engineering, and database-driven workflows. This is a hands-on role with opportunities to learn and grow into advanced AI engineering responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications and APIs.
• Design and optimize prompts for Large Language Models (LLMs) to improve accuracy and performance.
• Work with JSON-based data structures for request/response handling.
• Integrate and manage PostgreSQL (pgSQL) databases, including writing queries and handling data pipelines.
• Collaborate with the product and AI teams to implement new features.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize performance of applications and workflows.
• Stay updated on advancements in LLMs, AI frameworks, and generative AI tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Python (scripting, APIs, data handling).
• Basic understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and prompt engineering techniques.
• Experience with JSON data parsing and transformations.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.

Join our backend team as an intern and get hands-on experience building scalable, real-world applications with Node.js, Firebase, and AWS.

🔧 What You’ll Work On:

Backend development using Node.js

Firebase, SQL & NoSQL database management

RESTful API integration

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and understand business processes and requirements to develop effective technical solutions.

• Assist in the planning, designing, development, of new applications and enhancements to existing applications.

• Collaborate with IT team members, decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve business systems issues.

• Prepare functional specification documents in accordance to new business requirements.

• Ensure compatibility and interoperability of business software applications.

• Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.

• Assist in the deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications.

• Identify, assess, and recommend software solutions and implementation partners to management.

• Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.

• Participate and sometimes drive IT projects to ensure that system requirements and data engineering needs are addressed throughout the project life cycle.

• Create systems models including integration points, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to internal stakeholders and third parties.

• Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems.

• Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in related fields with 3 to 4 years in systems and/or functional analysis.

• Proven experience in analysing, designing, and implementing information systems.

• Strong understanding of business processes and technical systems.

• Hands-on skills in SQL and databases (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server).

Responsibilities

- Software Engineering

- Design and develop highly scalable, available, reliable, secure and fault tolerant systems with minimal

guidance for a market leader in the logistics industry

- Partner with team members on functional and nonfunctional requirements and spread design

philosophy, goals and improve the code quality across the team

- Research new technologies and tools that enable building the next generation of our services

- Provide technology leadership to the team and foster engineering excellence

- Product Delivery

- Partner with product managers to define and execute on the feature roadmap

- Translate business requirements into scalable and extensible design

- Coordinate with various cross functional teams on planning and execution

- Maintaining automated build / test / deployment environments

Qualifications

- Software Engineering

- Should have at least 2 years of hands on experience in designing, developing, testing and deploying

applications on Java, Ruby, Kotlin, Python, Node or Go for large scale applications

- Deep knowledge of one of the programming language they have experience in

- Proficient in OOP and Design Patterns, experience with functional programming would be a plus

- Data modelling experience in Relational Databases

- Ability to design and implement low latency RESTful services

- Product Delivery

- Ability to scope, review and refine user stories for technical completeness and to alleviate dependency

risks.

- Well versed in working with agile methodologies which includes phases such as design, development,

code review, testing and release management

- Ability to have worked in a CI/CD environment, with hands on experience with Git or any similar source

code management tools

- Product Maintenance

- Experience troubleshooting server performance issues such as memory tuning, GC tuning, resource leaks

etc

- Continuously refactor applications to ensure high quality design.

Good to have:

API Integrations with UI Layer

• Build data pipelines for structured/unstructured, real-time/batch, events/synchronous/asynchronous using MQ, Kafka, Steam processing using Java / Python
• Design the Data stores for Big Data systems with expertise in Cassandra, HBase
• Implementation of Indexing and Search using Elasticsearch
• Setup and Deployment of Cassandra, Elasticsearch clusters

• Strong hands-on experience with Cassandra, data modeling, data replication, clustering, indexing for handling for large data sets
• Experience with SQL, NoSQL, relational database design, and methods for efficiently retrieving data for Time Series Analytics
• Strong understanding of CQL, Data Modeling in-order to achieve highly performant data access
• Strong experience in data modeling in Cassandra to design efficient storage model to meet variety of business needs
• Should have Elasticsearch skill with significant experience working with large Elasticsearch clusters, cluster performance optimisation, capacity planning, enhancing monitoring capabilities for early issue detection, driving operational readiness and ongoing maintenance
• Strong hands-on experience of programming with Java / Python
• Ability to troubleshoot and investigate stability, performance issues
