LXL Ideas transforms education through innovative programs and events. We are looking for an Inside Sales Manager to drive sales of subscriptions and memberships to schools and promote participation in our educational events.
Role Overview:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for lead generation and building a pipeline of high-quality prospects. As a manager, you will oversee the inside sales team and act as a strategic partner, focusing on long-term sales strategies.
Key Goals:
- Achieve Sales Targets: Meet or exceed sales quotas and targets set by the company, often measured in terms of revenue, number of deals closed, or new business acquired.
- Generate Leads: Identify and qualify potential business clients through various methods such as cold calling, email campaigns, and social media outreach.
- Build and Maintain Relationships: Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers within client organizations to facilitate long-term business partnerships and repeat sales.

Responsibilities:

- Sales Presentations: Conduct virtual or in-person presentations and demonstrations of products or services to potential clients, highlighting the value and benefits relevant to their needs.
- Proposal Development: Prepare and deliver tailored proposals, including pricing and contract terms, that address the specific requirements of each client.
- Negotiation and Closing: Negotiate terms and conditions of sales agreements, handle objections, and close deals to achieve sales targets.
- CRM Management: Use Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to track interactions, manage the sales pipeline, and maintain accurate records of client communications and progress.
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to effectively position the company’s products or services.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, customer service, and product teams to ensure alignment in messaging, support, and delivery of client solutions.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and performance metrics to management.
- Customer Service: Address and resolve any issues or concerns from clients promptly and professionally to ensure a positive experience and ongoing relationship.
- Training and Development: Continuously improve sales skills and product knowledge through training, workshops, and self-study to stay competitive and effective in the role.
Qualifications:

Our core customer-facing product today is a native Android application. In addition to this, we are building internal tools for customer support, investment management, marketing analytics and business management. In the future, we plan to hugely expand the features in our core product, build iOS and web products, and continuously improve our internal tools to better serve our customers.
For our back-end, we use Node.js / MySQL / AWS. We are currently a 3-member engineering team (1 back-end, 1 Android, 1 full stack) led by our founding engineer and advised by a senior technology executive from a leading fintech company.
Key Responsibilities of the Role
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve our software applications
- Build reusable libraries and frameworks that support complex web applications
- Set-up our technology infrastructure and integrate with 3rd party applications
- Contribute to internal discussions around product features, roadmap and technologies used

Skills / Required Experience:
- B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent, with solid foundational knowledge in at least two general programming languages, data structures, algorithms, system architecture, security and networking protocols.
- At least 6 years of back-end development experience in a software product company is required for this role.
- Exposure to modern software development processes, multiple front-end and back-end technologies, and open-source software.
