We are seeking an experienced and innovative Golang Developers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing the parts of web applications that users interact with directly.

Job Responsibilities:

● Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code using Go (Golang).

● Build and manage scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services and APIs.

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend, product, DevOps) to define, design, and ship new features.

Security technology includes all facets of software engineering work from data analytics and visualization, AI/ML processing, highly distributed and available services with real-time monitoring, integration with various other services, including protocol-level work. We are looking for a highly experienced Principal Software Engineer to lead the development and scaling of our backend systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in distributed systems, database management, Kubernetes, and cloud technologies. As a key technical leader, you will design, implement, and optimize critical backend services, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and Develop Distributed Systems: Design and implement scalable, distributed systems using microservices architecture. Expertise in both synchronous (REST/gRPC) and asynchronous communication patterns (message queues, Kafka), with a strong emphasis on building resilient services that can handle large data and maintain high throughput. Craft cloud solutions tailored to specific needs, choosing appropriate AWS services and optimizing resource utilization to ensure performance and high availability.
• Database Architecture & Optimization: Lead efforts to design and manage databases with a focus on scaling, replication, query optimization, and managing large datasets.
• Performance & Reliability: Engage in continuous learning and innovation to improve customer satisfaction. Embrace accountability and respond promptly to service issues to maintain and enhance system health. Ensure the backend systems meet high standards for performance, reliability, and scalability, identifying and solving bottlenecks and architectural challenges by leveraging various observability tools (such as Prometheus and Grafana).
• Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers, guiding architecture decisions, reviewing code, and helping to build a strong engineering culture. Stay abreast of the latest industry trends in cloud technology, adopting best practices to continuously improve our services and security measures.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience: 8+ years of experience in backend engineering, with at least 5 years of experience in building distributed systems.
• Technical Expertise:
• Distributed Systems: Extensive experience with microservices architecture, working with both synchronous (REST, gRPC) and asynchronous patterns (SNS, SNQ). Strong understanding of service-to-service authentication and authorization, API rate limiting, and other critical aspects of scalable systems.
• Database: Expertise in database technologies with experience working with large datasets, optimizing queries, handling replication, and creating views for performance. Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB, Cassandra). Expertise in various database technologies and deep experience with creating data models that provide consistent data views to the customer while data is being morphed, handling data migrations, and ensuring data integrity and high availability.
• Kubernetes: In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes, with experience deploying and managing services in Kubernetes clusters (EKS, AKS). Strong understanding of pods, services, networking, and scaling applications within Kubernetes environments.
• Golang: Proven experience using Golang as the primary programming language for backend development. Deep understanding of concurrency, performance optimization, and scalability in Golang applications.
• Cloud Technologies: Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, DynamoDB, Lambda, RDS, EKS). Experience in designing and optimizing cloud-based architectures for large-scale distributed systems.
• Problem Solver: Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with a proven ability to design and optimize complex systems.
• Leadership: Experience in leading engineering teams, guiding architectural decisions, and mentoring junior engineers.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Knowledge of GitHub-based CI/CD tools and best practices.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Cybersecurity experience.

Position Overview: 

As our Senior Engineer (Back End), you'll be responsible for building new features, enhancing the existing ones as well as supporting them in production. You will also be responsible for building reusable libraries or technology platforms that address multiple use cases. You will work towards delivering specific milestones and objectives in a very dynamic environment. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

● Working closely with the Engineers to develop the best technical design, strategy and drive execution to build capabilities into the platform 

● Owning the delivery of various timelines, ensuring that key milestones are met and deliveries are of the highest quality 

● Establishing various best practices for software development and encouraging their adoption with the team and organization 

● Collaborate with other non-technical stakeholders of the business which includes Product Managers, Designers, Marketing etc.

● Encouraging and mentoring an excellent team of talented engineers by mentoring them and working with them to remove any roadblocks 

● Functional availability of the software developed, enhancing the product based on functional requirements 

● Managing cloud-based services, web applications for their functional correctness, availability, security 

● Deploy and maintain enterprise class RESTful, GRPC based services 

● Own the engineering excellence and operational readiness of the service driving the SLO,SLI, SLA of the relevant services 

● Take ownership to drive quality of the services under your purview via integration test and unit test coverage

Must Have Skills:

• Overall experience 7+ years and relevant at least 3+ years in Golang with Java
• Strong design and architectural experience in building various highly-scalable and highly-available products 
• Strong understanding of the SDLC Activities which include Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, Deployment and Post-Production Support etc.
• Proficiency in at least one server side framework for Go Lang
• Experience working on NoSQL & SQL Databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis etc 
• Deep Dive, problem-solving, RCA and systematic thinking to reach the cause of issues 
• Able to work independently and multi-task effectively 
• Program at a system level and able to manage service stability 
• Excellent experience maintaining, scalable, extensible code
• Methodical in maintaining up to date documentation 
• Metric-driven mindset and obsessive about ensuring clean coding practices 
• Preferred experience in product development 
• Preferred working experience on microservices platforms 
• Proficiency in at least one modern web front-end development framework such as React JS will be a bonus

Good to Have Skills:

• Preferred experience in Elasticsearch and Kibana (ELK Stack)

Qualification:

F5 is looking for Software Engineer II with in-depth experience in high scale distributed systems. You will participate in the design and implementation of of our Edge Computing platform that is used to deploy global, scalable and secure applications. Your work includes, but not limited to, Research, design and build highly reliable, available and scalable platforms, API definition, implementation, deployment, operational management, and debugging.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver solutions that will help create, deploy and manage the service components of the platform
• Investigate various open source and close source technologies, components, libraries, tools etc. and help build a highly available, highly scalable and easily manageable system
• Take ownership of software components and   deliver   a   complete   product   satisfying   functional, scale, performance   and manageability requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Knowledge and experience in highly distributed software systems, ability to understand the nuances and solve problems related to scale, performance and resiliency of such a system
• Experience in programming languages: Golang, Java, Python any objected oriented high level proprietary or open source language with strong programming constructs.
• Good understanding of programming fundamentals & their application to highly scalable web-based systems
• Experience in developing polyglot software using service definition language and framework like gRPC, Thrift, Google Protocol Buffers, OpenAPI etc.
• Must have hands on SQL or No SQL technologies.
• Experience working on CICD methodology and Git based workflow
• Experience in Docker technologies including experience in optimizing Docker image and managing Docker image lifecycle. Experience in orchestration systems like Kubernetes and container technologies like Docker, rkt is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal, team building, and mentoring skills
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 3+ years of software development experience

Platform Engineering Team - where HE/SHE will be a direct impact on the entire engineering org by leading the design, build, and test of critical systems leveraged by all engineers every day. HE/SHE will manage and operate CI/CD systems, Artefact management systems, and common infra automation. HE/SHE will be partnering with engineering teams and developing scalable tools and infrastructure that help engineers develop, test, debug, and release software quickly.
