Fullstack Developer

We are looking to hire a Senior Backend Developer, with over 4+ years of experience, to directly work with the CTO and contribute in building and developing new products and feature sets for NostraGamus. The work will entail the opportunity to explore and utilise the latest developments in the world of technology, and formulate ways to incorporate them into day to day work to create stellar products. The candidate must have had significant exposure in building real products, including working with various stakeholders across product and marketing teams. Prior knowledge in building games at scale is highly desirable, but not necessarily.

 

The following skillsets are highly essential:

1. Expertise in Node Js&Javascript, and hobbyist interest in few other languages like Python, Ruby, PHP. Must have done C/C++ programming in school/college
2. Deep knowledge on Database systems, especially PostgreSQL, and any noSQL clones, including knowledge to optimise
3. Awareness of Docker, virtualization, Redis or similar caching toolsets
4. Absolute mastery in using Unix based systems and Bash. Ability to work in seamlessly in headless environments is a must.
5. Disciplined in approaching problems, ability to maintain composure under catastrophic failures and propensity to work under deadlines

Bonus Points :

1. Passionate about building new products - having done a few personal projects, regardless of success achieved or goals completed.
2. Prior knowledge in building games at scale.
3. Good understanding in AWS and its various services - EC2, ECS, RDS, SQS, Elastic Beanstalk, Elasticache, Route53.
4. Strong interest in Mathematics, Probability Theory, Statistics, Machine Learning and ability to apply math in real-world applications.

Responsibilities Include:

You will break down business opportunities and problems into software solutions. You will work closely with the CTO to help product and marketing stakeholders distill the product vision and roadmap, into a technology vision. You will be responsible for the evolution of an already bleeding-edge highly distributed systems at the back-end, and would need to work withfront-end architects to come up with the best user experience for the gaming platform. You will be required to make decisions quickly, and work under strict timelines. You would lead technology strategy through analysis of market trends and product requirements. You would help set coding guidelines and help bring the most modern tools to keep engineering processes most efficient.

Requirements:

● B.E/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
● 10+ years or more of progressive software technology experience with at least 3 years
in an architectural role.
● Completely hands on with technology and architecture. Start-up experience is a huge
plus.
● Ability to quickly prototype and demonstrate technology value adds and educate + drive
adoption within the extended technology team
● Excellent and robust understanding of scalable product system architecture(s),
platforms and core technologies
● Demonstrated problem-solving and leadership skills to pursue correct engineering
process in adverse conditions. Ability to embrace and demonstrate leadership beyond
ownership
● Work with engineering leadership to setup and manage processes.

● Great proficiency in distributed systems design, with an ability to make the right

be a big plus.

Requirements:

1.3+ years of strong programming experience with .Net Framework and .Net Core based software applications. (.NET,.NET Core, C#, ASP.Net, JavaScript framworks, Web API, MS SQL Server, Cosmos DB, Docker, Azure Cloud)

2. Strong knowledge of Microservices based Architecture, Design Patterns and Principles.(Optional) / Hands on experience on React Js /Redux (Optional)

3. Prior experience in handling application with larger volumes of data .

4. 3+ years of experience of designing high-performance enterprise software application.

5. Works with application development team to solve technical challenges with industry best practices.

6. Addresses and resolves complex technical issues with internal/external customers.

7. Design software systems with various Microsoft technologies and ensure compliance to all architecture requirements.

8. Review infrastructure for any issues and recommend solutions.

9. Very important to be good communicator and updates management team with the weekly/monthly status.

10. Analyzes enterprise system performance. Develops and implements system performance improvements.

11. Participates in development activities including code reviews, as well as coding and testing of new enhancements.

 

Job Description
We are looking for a Back-End Web Developer responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.
