1. Proven working experience in Android app development and published at least one original Android app.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and build our native Android application using Java or Kotlin.
• Set up our backend using either the MEAN (Mongo, Node) or Django stack.
• Collaborate with the design team on feasibility and design reviews.
• Set up DevOps processes - CI/CD and release management.
• Hire an additional backend engineer to scale the application based on requirements.

Requirements:

• You possess strong computer science fundamentals.

Have shipped apps on either the iOS App Store or Android Play Store, and are intimately familiar with their workflows. Comfortable with jest for writing unit and integration tests / appium for end-end testing. Intuition for usability and UI design, with an ability to balance polish with the constraints of timing and scope. Curiosity to remain updated with the newest technologies and frameworks. What are your Roles and Responsibilities?

What are the must-haves for the job?

• Hands-on with at least one of the server-side languages, framework or runtime such as Golang, Nodejs, Python, Java or .Net
• Familiarity with database concepts and technologies
• Hands-on with at least one of the NoSql databases such as Mongo DB, Elastic Search or Cassandra
• Understanding of micro services architecture and inter-service communication using REST and RPC APIs
• Familiarity with cloud service technologies with a provider such as AWS, Azure or GCP
