Software Engineer - Mobile App Development (React Native)

1. You need to be excited about the problem that we are trying to solve
   
2. 4+ years of experience building applications in React Native
   
3. Build pixel-perfect, buttery smooth UIs across both mobile platforms.
   
4. Strong Js fundamentals
   
5. Built an iOS app from scratch or Native Android development experience
   
6. Ability to give clarity and communicate well with the team, including Product, Backend and Dev-Ops (if and when needed)
   
7. Ability to use profiling tools well, getting to root causes of bugs fast
   
8. Ability to pick and work on adjacent technologies if and when required (Eg: If the best performance monitoring solution needs a basic firebase setup, that should not be a blocker for you to go ahead and do so)
   
9. Maintain code and write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality.
   
10. Reach out to the open-source community to encourage and help implement mission-critical software fixes—React Native moves fast and often breaks things.
    
11. You need to be comfortable working in a remote environment (Good internet connection and availability on phone is required)
    

1. Experience with next.js
   
2. Experience in Test Driven Development
   
3. Ability to tell Product what creates better User Experience, ability to tell backend what API responses will help the user get a faster load time
   
4. Inquisitiveness to understand the system as a whole, and not only be stuck to your domain of expertise (Eg: Asking questions like why does this particular response take so much time as compared to others, and brainstorming with the backend engineer on how to improve on it)

Responsibilities:

The React Native App Developer will own and drive app development—including decisions about tools, technologies, and processes - for UPCRED.

Develop cross-platform mobile applications in React Native which customers love using

Work with product, design, backend teams to develop features.

Work on bindings and integrations required with native iOS and Android libraries

Plan, estimate, and delivery your project with minimal supervision.

Skills:

2 - 5 years of React Native experience with some hands-on experience with app development and launches especially deployment with the App Store and Play Store [Android + iOS].

Understanding of REST APIs, the document request model, offline storage, state

management.

Experience in Firebase and App Analytics tools

Experience with Content/Video-based app.

Experience with native Android or iOS development.

Understanding of Social Video-based app Architecture

• Taking responsibility of an end user app based product development, go-live, crash management, user management, scaling and growing an app based product, especially for iOS
• Managing developer work including app backend, reporting and analytics to be taken up and planned for both the products along with the current team.
• integrating a playstore format content library and personalization for every user via basic/ practical and easy implementations of AI
• Ensuring initial user implementation and the product roadmap is stablized.
• Owning up to all the current and future work on the product with a deep focus, creative connect, dynamic dev and learning capabilities.
• Taking a very focussed growth oriented responsibility for iOS, web and backend development for our apps and web based solutions.
• Owning an End to End app management with dev, testing, release, stability, documentation and scaling.

• 2-5 years of deep hands-on experience with react native and React JS
• End user app based experience with a decent stability and scale achieved to the apps in both android and IOS
• Knowledge of Firebase database
