Full-Stack Engineer (AI-Native) | 2-4 Years Experience

About the Role

We're hiring a Full-Stack Engineer who is equally comfortable building a polished Next.js interface and a reliable NestJS API behind it. You'll build customer-facing products, including AI-powered features like chat interfaces, streaming responses, and agent-driven workflows. You'll own features end to end, from database schema to UI, and use AI tools daily to ship faster without lowering the quality bar.

What You'll Do

Frontend

  • Build responsive, accessible, high-performance UIs with React, Next.js (App Router, RSC) and TypeScript
  • Build AI-facing interfaces: streaming chat UIs, tool-call/agent-status displays, and loading, error, and retry states for non-deterministic outputs
  • Monitor web vitals and fix performance regressions

Backend

  • Design and build scalable REST/GraphQL APIs and services with Node.js and NestJS
  • Model, query, and optimize data in PostgreSQL (schema design, indexing, migrations) using an ORM like Prisma or Drizzle
  • Implement auth, authorization, validation, background jobs, queues, and caching (Redis)
  • Integrate LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini), including streaming (SSE/WebSockets), tool calling, retries, rate limits, and cost/latency control

AI-Assisted Engineering

  • Use AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, etc.) for scaffolding, refactoring, debugging, and test writing
  • Write and maintain project context for AI tools (rules files, AGENTS.md/CLAUDE.md, reusable prompts) so the whole team gets better output
  • Review AI-generated code critically for correctness, security, performance, and maintainability

Team and Delivery

  • Write unit, integration, and E2E tests, using AI to speed them up rather than skip them
  • Take part in code reviews, sprint planning, architecture discussions, and on-call/incident follow-ups
  • Document APIs, decisions, and runbooks clearly

Must-Have (Non-Negotiable)

Frontend

  • Strong JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript
  • React (hooks, state management, rendering behavior) and Next.js (App Router, SSR/SSG/RSC)
  • HTML/CSS fundamentals, Tailwind or similar, responsive design, and accessibility basics

Backend

  • Production experience with Node.js and a structured framework (NestJS preferred; Express/Fastify with good architecture is fine)
  • Solid PostgreSQL skills: relational modeling, joins, indexes, transactions, query optimization
  • API design: REST principles, pagination, versioning, error handling, input validation
  • Authentication and authorization (JWT, OAuth2, sessions, RBAC)

Engineering Fundamentals

  • Git, PR workflows, and code review habits
  • Testing across layers (Jest/Vitest, React Testing Library, API/integration tests; Playwright/Cypress is a plus)
  • Basic security awareness (OWASP top 10, secrets management, input sanitization)

AI-Assisted Development

  • Daily, hands-on use of at least one AI coding tool (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, Windsurf, or similar)
  • Ability to write clear prompts, give useful context, and break big tasks into steps an AI can handle
  • Habit of reviewing, testing, and understanding AI output before committing it
  • Basic understanding of how LLMs work: context windows, hallucinations, token cost, and why outputs vary

Nice to Have

  • Redis, message queues (BullMQ, SQS, Kafka), or event-driven architecture
  • Monorepo tooling (Turborepo, pnpm workspaces, Nx)
  • Design system or component library work (shadcn/ui, Radix, Storybook)
  • tRPC, GraphQL, or OpenAPI-driven type-safe clients
  • Multi-tenant SaaS, payments (Stripe/Razorpay), or real-time features
  • Open-source contributions, a side project, or shipped AI features you can demo

What We Expect From You

  • Ownership: take a feature from schema to UI to production, and flag risks early
  • Judgment over speed: AI makes you faster, and you're still accountable for every line you ship
  • Security awareness: no secrets in prompts, no blind copy-paste of AI code, and sensitive data stays out of third-party tools
  • Systems thinking: consider scale, failure modes, and cost, not just the happy path
  • Learning speed: the AI tooling landscape changes every few months, and you keep up and share what works
  • Clear communication: PRs, docs, and async updates that others can follow

Company: CombineHealth AI

Location: Bangalore, India (Work from Office — 4 days/week)

Experience: 3+ years

Employment Type: Full-time

About Combine Health

Combine Health is building an AI workforce for healthcare revenue cycle management (RCM) — agentic AI systems that automate medical coding, billing, claims, and denial management, and reason through payer policy for healthcare providers in the US. Backed by Y Combinator and Silicon Valley investors, we work with hospitals and health systems to eliminate revenue leakage and reduce manual, error-prone billing work.

We're a small, fast-moving team. Every engineer here owns real product surface area from day one — there's no hiding behind process at a 12-person company.

The Role

We're looking for a Full Stack Engineer to build and ship features across our AI-driven RCM platform — from the interfaces our customers use to review claims and denials, to the backend services that power our AI agents. You'll work closely with founders and a small engineering team, moving fast on a product that directly affects hospital cash flow.

This is not a role where requirements arrive fully specified. You'll be expected to help define what to build, not just how.

What You'll Do

  • Design, build, and ship full stack features across the product — from UI to APIs to data models
  • Build interfaces for complex, data-heavy workflows (claims review, denial queues, coding dashboards) that need to be fast and legible, not just functional
  • Work with backend services that integrate with AI agents, payer systems, and healthcare data sources
  • Own features end-to-end: design, implementation, testing, deployment, and iteration based on customer feedback
  • Collaborate directly with founders and product on prioritization — this isn't a "tickets handed to you" role
  • Write clean, maintainable code and help set engineering practices as the team scales
  • Debug and resolve production issues quickly in a live, customer-facing system

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of professional experience building full stack web applications in production
  • Strong hands-on experience with a modern frontend framework (React or similar) and backend framework/language (Python, Node.js or similar)
  • Comfort working across the stack: REST/GraphQL APIs, relational databases (Postgres/MySQL), and basic infra/deployment (Docker, cloud platforms like AWS/GCP)
  • Ability to take a loosely defined problem and ship a working solution without waiting for a detailed spec
  • Solid fundamentals in data modeling, system design, and debugging complex issues in production
  • Startup mindset: comfortable with ambiguity, fast iteration, and wearing multiple hats
  • Strong communication — you'll be working directly with a small team and need to explain trade-offs clearly

Good to have:

  • Experience integrating with AI/LLM APIs or building AI-adjacent product features
  • Prior experience at an early-stage startup (seed to Series A)

Why Join Combine Health

  • Work on a product with real, measurable impact — faster payments, fewer denials, less manual work for healthcare teams
  • Small team, high ownership — your work ships and matters immediately
  • Backed by Y Combinator and top investors, early enough that your decisions shape the product
  • Direct access to founders and fast decision-making, no layers of bureaucracy

How to apply

To apply, share your resume along with links to relevant projects or GitHub/portfolio.

• Real ownership over architecture and technical direction.

• Access to the latest AI coding agents and tools — we invest in keeping our engineers on the cutting edge.

• Work on a genuinely differentiated business with measurable impact.

• Be part of a lean team where your decisions shape the product.

• Opportunity to mentor and grow the engineering team.

Full-Stack Engineer (Backend Heavy)

Experience: 4–6 Years | Function: Engineering — Product | Location: On-site

About Us

We’re building the next generation of AI-powered business software, and we’re looking for people who want to shape that future with us. With Lumen, we’re reimagining how users interact with CRM — moving beyond screens, menus and dashboards to an intelligent interface where users can simply ask AI to take actions, retrieve knowledge, generate insights and get work done. With Agent Studio, we’re enabling businesses to build, test and deploy their own AI agents for real-world workflows. And with Invorto, we’re bringing AI to voice, allowing businesses to create intelligent voice agents tailored to their customer and operational use cases.

What makes this especially exciting is the stage and scale of the opportunity. You’ll get to work on genuinely hard problems across LLMs, agents, reasoning, orchestration, voice AI, evaluation, reliability and enterprise security — not as isolated experiments, but as products used in real business workflows. You’ll have the opportunity to build zero-to-one, own meaningful parts of the product end-to-end, work closely with customers, experiment rapidly, and see your work reach production at scale.

Why join now? Because the playbook for enterprise AI is still being written. You won’t just be implementing someone else’s roadmap — you’ll help define the product, architecture and experiences that become that playbook. Expect high ownership, fast iteration, hard technical and product problems, direct customer impact, and the chance to build AI systems that have to work reliably in the real world — not just in a demo.

About the Role

We are looking for a Full-Stack Engineer with a strong backend bias to help build end-to-end product experiences across Lumen and Agent Studio. You will own features from database and API design through to the front-end experience, working closely with product and design to ship AI-powered experiences that real business users depend on every day.

What You’ll Do

Design and build backend services and APIs in Python that power core product and AI-agent features.

Build front-end interfaces and experiences that let users interact naturally with AI agents, insights and CRM workflows.

Own features end-to-end — from data modeling and backend logic to UI implementation, testing and release.

Work with product managers and designers to translate requirements into well-architected, scalable systems.

Integrate with LLM-based and agentic backend systems built by the AI/ML engineering team.

Optimize application performance, reliability and code quality across the stack.

Engage directly with customers and customer success teams to understand workflows, triage issues and inform roadmap decisions.

What We’re Looking For

4–6 years of professional full-stack engineering experience, with a clear backend-heavy skill set in Python.

Strong experience designing and building REST/GraphQL APIs, data models and scalable backend services.

Working proficiency with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React) to build and integrate user-facing features.

Experience with relational/NoSQL databases, caching and cloud infrastructure.

Ability to move fast in a zero-to-one environment while maintaining code quality and system reliability.

Strong communication skills — this is a customer-facing role, and you will be expected to clearly articulate technical concepts, decisions and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including customers.

Good to Have

Experience building features on top of LLM or AI-agent backends.

Prior experience in CRM, SaaS or enterprise business applications.

Exposure to real-time or voice-based product interfaces.

About PowerTech Digital

PowerTech Digital is a UK software development and digital consultancy working with enterprise clients on digital transformation, data architecture, and AI-enabled delivery. We're a small, senior team that ships fast by pairing strong engineering judgement with AI-native tooling — and we're productising that approach.

Prompt to Production is our newest service: organisations empower their workforce to build applications on AI platforms like Lovable, Bolt, and Claude, and we take those applications to secure, production-grade deployments on the client's own cloud — their identity, their policies, their infrastructure. Every release goes through the same governed pipeline: handover → security audit → hardening → deployment. You would own that pipeline.

The role

This is a hybrid delivery-and-product role. Roughly two-thirds is running and improving the Prompt to Production service end to end; the rest is full-stack product engineering on client builds and our own tooling. You'll work directly with the founder, with real autonomy, modern AI tooling as standard, and a clear brief: make the service so repeatable that every deployment is execution, not invention.

What you'll do

  • Run the deployment pipeline: take applications built by citizen developers from a GitHub handover through security audit, remediation, hardening, and release to Azure (AWS/GCP as we expand).
  • Lead handover calls (30–60 min) with the people who built the apps — understanding what they made, what it touches, and who needs access.
  • Execute AI-assisted security audits using Claude Code against our published checklist — auth and authorisation, RLS policies, secrets handling, data exposure, dependency vulnerabilities — and produce our standardised audit report.
  • Implement production hardening: migrate authentication to Microsoft Entra ID (tenant-locked app registrations), move secrets into Azure Key Vault, configure CI/CD with GitHub Actions and OIDC federated credentials.
  • Own and improve the infrastructure templates (Bicep/Terraform + cloud-init): per-app resource groups, self-hosted Supabase stacks, automated backups to Blob Storage, monitoring with Application Insights.
  • Operate live tier 2 stacks: updates, backup verification, restore tests, secret rotation.
  • Build product: full-stack features on client engagements and internal tooling — including AI integration work (LLM APIs, agents, structured extraction, evals).
  • Make the service better every cycle: tighten the audit checklist, automate the manual steps, improve the templates. Your job is to make your own job smaller.

What you must bring

  • 3–6 years as a full-stack engineer with Node.js and TypeScript/React at the core — you're genuinely strong at building product, not just gluing services.
  • Must have experience managing and maintaining self-hosted Supabase
  • PostgreSQL in production; Supabase experience (RLS, auth, migrations, edge functions) is a significant advantage.
  • Real Docker/Compose ownership and CI/CD you've built yourself (GitHub Actions preferred).
  • Cloud fundamentals — ideally Azure (VMs, networking, Key Vault, Entra ID); strong AWS/GCP experience with willingness to go deep on Azure also works.
  • AI integration experience in shipped products — you've built with LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI), understand prompting, structured outputs, and where AI belongs (and doesn't) in a product.
  • Security instincts: you think about what an app exposes before you think about what it does.
  • Excellent written and spoken English — you'll run client-facing calls and write reports that IT directors file.

The mindset we're hiring for

Product engineering, not ticket-taking. You ask why before how, you'd rather delete a step than document it, you treat every deployment as a chance to improve the system that does deployments, and you're comfortable being the person accountable for something working in production. You already use AI tools as a force multiplier in your daily work — this role assumes it.

Nice to have

  • Bicep or Terraform in anger; Linux server administration.
  • Experience with AI app builders (Lovable, Bolt, v0) — even personal projects.
  • Security certifications or OWASP familiarity; AZ-104/AZ-204.
  • Experience working directly with clients or stakeholders in a consultancy setting.

Logistics & compensation

  • Remote-first. Significant overlap with UK working hours required.
  • Competitive compensation based on location and experience. [Adjust per market — e.g. ₹18–28 LPA for India-based candidates; contractor or EOR arrangement available.]
  • Direct exposure to the full commercial picture of a productised service — how it's priced, sold, and scaled.
