Python Data Engineer

Job Description:

• Design, develop, and maintain database scripts and procedures to support

application requirements.

• Collaborate with software developers to integrate database scripts with

application code.

• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner.

• Perform database maintenance tasks, such as backups, restores, and migrations.

• Implement data security measures to protect sensitive information.

• Develop and maintain documentation for database scripts and procedures.

• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in database

management.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• 3+ years of Proven experience as a Database Engineer or similar role with python

• Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages such as Python or Js.

• Strong understanding of database management systems, including relational

databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL databases (e.g.,

MongoDB, Cassandra).

• Experience with database design principles and data modelling techniques.

• Knowledge of database optimisation techniques and performance tuning.

• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration

tools.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities:

• Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code in Node.js for back-end services.
• Ensuring optimal and high-performance code logic for the data from/to database. 
• Implementing effective security protocols, data protection measures, and storage solutions. 
• Preparing technical specification documents for the developed features. 
• Providing technical recommendations and suggesting improvements to the product. 
• Documenting code standards and practicing it. 
• Ability to understand and work at all different layers of web application
• Design & develop APIs 
• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to conceptualize new features 
• Stay abreast of new advances, techniques & libraries in web development
• Work remotely with a geographically dispersed group of fellow engineers

Requirement: 

• 3+ years of proven experience in the implementation of large-scale web applications
• Extensive knowledge of JavaScript, web stacks, libraries, and frameworks.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in PHP is mandatory (Framework CakePHP)
• Strong with server-side languages (Javascript/Node.js) 
• Strong with JavaScript frameworks (Ember.js, React.js) 
• Proficient with databases (MongoDB & MySQL)
• RESTful API design and development 
• Docker and AWS experience is a plus

Requirements :

• Internship or 6 months experience as a full stack developer working with ruby on rails.
