Key Responsibilities As a Full Stack Developer Intern, you'll be an integral part of our development team, contributing to the full software development lifecycle.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Code Review and Analysis: o Review and analyze existing codebase to understand functionality, identify areas for optimization, and ensure adherence to best practices. o Participate in code reviews with senior developers, providing constructive feedback and learning from their insights.

• Front-End Development: o Assist in building responsive and intuitive user interfaces using React.js. o Implement new features and functionalities based on design specifications and user stories. o Debug and resolve issues related to the front-end application.

• Back-End Development: o Support the development of robust and scalable server-side applications using Node.js and Express.js. o Contribute to the design and implementation of RESTful APIs to facilitate communication between front-end and back-end systems. o Work with PostgreSQL to manage and query databases, ensuring data integrity and efficient retrieval.

• Collaboration and Learning: o Collaborate closely with senior developers, product managers, and other team members to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. o Actively participate in team meetings, stand-ups, and brainstorming sessions. o Proactively seek feedback and mentorship from experienced developers to enhance your technical skills and understanding.

• Testing and Debugging: o Assist in writing unit and integration tests to ensure the reliability and stability of applications. o Identify, analyze, and resolve bugs and performance issues across both front-end and back-end systems.

• Version Control: o Utilize Git for version control, including branching, merging, and pull requests, to manage codebase effectively within a team environment.

• Documentation: o Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation for features, APIs, and system architecture. Required Skills To succeed in this role, you should have a foundational understanding and practical experience with the following technologies: • Programming Languages: Strong command of TypeScript and JavaScript. • Frontend Framework: Proficiency in React.js.

• Backend Technologies: Experience with Node.js and Express.js.

• Database: Familiarity with PostgreSQL.

• Version Control: Working knowledge of Git.

• APIs: Understanding of RESTful APIs.

Requirements

- Strong coding and problem-solving skills

- 6-10years of industry experience

- Bachelors and/or master’s degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience

- A full-stack generalist with experience in both front-end and back-end technologies

- Experience in Java.

- Experience in JavaScript frameworks like Angular, React, NodeJS or Kotlin

- Ability to write MySQL queries across tables

- Good architecture and system design skills

Your Role

At the level of lead engineer, you are seen as a natural leader by your peers. You have a deep experience in designing and building secure, scalable, applications for the web using .Net, AWS and SQL - a background working in financial services at enterprise scale is preferred. You live our design and development methodologies, understand our business. You should have extensive knowledge on enterprise systems, security, development technologies within the Microsoft Stack, as well as excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills

In this role you will be responsible for designing our global Digital Wealth platform product features , this includes core application functionality, API work as well as integrations with key partners. As one of the team's leaders, this person should be empowering our development team to make sound technical and architectural decisions. You will be accountable for quality of deliverables coming out of your squad and show ability to quickly learn and analyze complex system. This is a hands-on position, working in agile world on meaningful projects with a direct, immediate and visible impact to our key global clients.

To complete development activities required to meet business requirements. Development activities should be completed within expected delivery dates and should adhere to all Invesco development standards. The ability to communicate with project managers and other IT professionals is a must.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

•               Gather and analyze information on existing business processes in order to make recommendations that seek to improve business systems and processes.

•               Analyze and document requirements for enhancements to systems and / or business processes. May involve investigation of third party vendors or systems.

•               Clearly document solutions and recommendations to business problems.

•               Review requirements and designs with relevant stakeholders to obtain agreement and sign off of proposals.

•               Create cost and time estimates along with project plans to enable prioritization and execution of work.

•               Complete all tasks related to development, unit testing, user acceptance testing, reporting and system implementation in accordance with the IT development life cycle.

•               Always conform to documentation, coding and quality standards as defined.

•               Maintain system support documentation for all supported applications, ensuring it is kept up to date.

•               Assist with necessary documentation and implementation plans in the promotion of code to production environments

The Experience You Bring

·      8+ years technical leadership and architecture experience in software development

·      6+ years of ASP.NET, C#, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and SQL Server, AWS and Microservices

·      5+ years working in SQL-backed environments.

·      In depth knowledge of client side JavaScript frameworks like React and Redux

·      In depth knowledge of REST services(WCF, Web API, Microservices)

·      Solid work experience in building SaaS based products.

·      Experience and clear understanding of how to plan and execute within iterations and sprints

·      Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

·      Innovative, challenging programming work in the Microsoft stack, with SQL Server as a back end

·      Experience building for the web using C#, Bootstrap, Vue, AJAX, CSS, jQuery, REST and the latest technologies.

·      Ability to work independently with the knowledge and capability to come in and make an immediate impact

·      Experience working in a sprint-driven development process.

Academic requirements
