Roles and Responsibilities:

● Develop and maintain robust and scalable web applications using MEAN/MERN

stack.

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

● Lead the architecture and design of complex software solutions.

● Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX design and implement responsive and user-

friendly interfaces.

● Implement best practices in software development, code reviews, and

documentation.

● Work closely with product management and stakeholders to understand

requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

● Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability.

● Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and issues.

● Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in MEAN/MERN stack

development and AWS Cloud services.

Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for monitoring project deliverables on day to day basis 
• Required to update relevant stakeholders or team members on the project's progress. 
• Assist, train, and ensure project team members with tasks that you have assigned to them. 
• Test the product modules and manage the change request, bug reports, etc. 
• Assist project managers in the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and progress reports. 
• Facilitate communication between intern stakeholders, clients, vendors, and management. 

Qualifications:

•  Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. 
• 3+ years of relevant Project Management experience. 
• Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills for documentation, user stories, etc. 
• Proficient in MS Excel, and Presentation. Proficient in Jira, Confluence, and Notion is a plus. 
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills. 
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. 
• Ability to work well in a team environment. 
• Experience with project management tools and software. 
• Ability to identify project risks and issues, and develop mitigation plans.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is willing to work in Java technologies, with experience on front-end languages and libraries (e.g. Angular, HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery, Vue.js, React) and its related back-end languages (e.g. Java) and frameworks (e.g. Spring boot, Node.js, Spring MVC, Hibernate, Struts, etc.) and who are also willing to work in challenging environment.

The candidate will be an integral member of a team that will employ the latest techniques and best practices in software development and utilize best-in-class tools and frameworks to build a first-of-their-kind cloud-agnostic, enterprise-class large-scale SaaS application.

• Responsible for building the architecture, key components, and middleware of the platform and developing fully multi-tenant systems
• Develop workflow management functions
• Develop REST APIs, as well as contribute to the overall API framework
• Implement solutions using iterative processes, Agile development methodologies and test-driven development
• Being a senior developer, you will also be required to lead a team of junior developers.

• 5 to 9 years of development experience with Java and related front-end and back-end technologies, and experience working in a distributed systems environment.
• Extensive experience in developing full stack end-to-end scalable and distributed applications.
• Experience in SaaS Application architecture & design and working with database modeling and design concepts. Understanding of database design and maintenance and experience with SQLite, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
• Experience with developing loosely coupled design, Micro-services development, message queues, and customized application deployment using RESTful services, implementing REST APIs with Spring or JAX-RS.
• Working knowledge of either Spring boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate, Struts Framework, building REST based Web Services using Java EE Standards
• Have experience in single sign-on, multi-factor authentication and security background.
• Knowledge of Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN 2.0) workflow engines such as Activiti, jBPM, Orchestra, and Flowable, however not mandatory.

• Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design.
• Good understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
• Good familiarity with Linux operating system, managing Linux servers and using AWS (EC2, S3).
• Familiarity with administering, automating, and deploying to cloud-based environments such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure, or working experience with Kubernetes.
• Should have used GIT.
• Understanding of search technologies such as Solr, ElasticSearch, and Lucene
• Have working knowledge in CI/CD pipelines (Concourse/Jenkins), and at times wear multiple hats to double up as Dev Ops
• Experience being part of product teams and in handling integrations, good at communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong emphasis on quality and the ability to deliver quickly and consistently.
• Self-driven and motivated to work with cutting edge technology.

SuperK is a well-funded early-stage startup that offers a full-stack solution to empower small format retail stores in Tier 2 and below towns. SuperK is rebranding existing small format retail stores and providing them with the benefits of procurement, tech systems, intelligence, and marketing at scale to create a chain of mini supermarkets. Some parallels can be drawn to how Oyo has transformed the small hotel industry, Medplus & Apollo have changed pharma retail and BigC & others have changed offline mobile buying.

What you will be doing

• Working closely with the Engineering lead to contribute to deciding the backend as well as frontend system architecture for products used by consumers, retailers, and other stakeholders.
• Stay informed about the product strategy; evaluate the feasibility of solutions proposed by PMs, estimate development effort, and help in planning the roadmap and individual features.
• Building the blocks of the entire system across multiple products on your own from the ground up with the freedom to try new things.
• Coordinate and collaborate with other developers to meet the timelines.
• Built systems that scale through software, contributing to the architecture and design.

What we would like to see in you

• 2-4 years of relevant experience as a full-stack engineer who has owned the entire stack of a product or a major module.
• Strong programming expertise in any of the JavaScript frameworks like NodeJS, ExpressJs, or Python frameworks like Django.
• Strong computer science fundamentals in OOPs, DS algorithm design and time complexity analysis.
• Experience in writing REST APIs
• Good understanding of relational databases and networking systems.
• Proficiency with at least one Object Oriented language(e.g Java, Python)
• Exposure to Cloud Platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Ability to work in an unstructured environment
• High enthusiasm and self-drive to build systems from the ground up.
• Focus on things that work compared to traditional conventions.
