About the job
What you will work on
- Work directly with lenders and lawyers to find what slows them down, then design, test and validate the fix with them.
- Turn direct customer metrics into insights that shape what we build next.
- Architect and scale the document ingestion pipeline so every report gets faster and more reliable as volume grows.
- Find out why LLM output goes wrong, fix it at the root, and build evals that keep it fixed.
- Build out our multi agent system and the tools it uses across government sources.
- Ship features end to end in the web app, and run it on GCP with an eye on cost and latency.
What we are looking for
- 0 to 5 years of experience building and shipping software. Internships, freelance work and serious side projects all count.
- Strong TypeScript and Node.js, with working knowledge of React, SQL and a cloud platform (GCP preferred).

- Experience building backend systems that hold up in production: queues, retries, idempotency, and logs and traces to debug them.
- A habit of measuring: you instrument what you ship and let the data decide what to do next.
- Experience integrating with websites and APIs that were never built for you: sessions, form posts, HTML parsing and rate limits.
Nice to have
- Durable workflows and reliable delivery: idempotency keys, the outbox pattern, signed webhooks
- PDF and image processing: OCR and scanned documents
- Reads Hindi, Kannada, Telugu or Tamil
- Exposure to fintech, lending or legal work
- Happy to work from our Gurugram office 5 days a week

Most software was written for people to read. We are rebuilding a large, mature codebase so that AI agents can read it, change it and ship it too, without breaking what already works.
In this role you will decide how the system should be cut up and what each piece promises to the others. You will put legacy logic behind clear contracts, one safe step at a time. You will design the data models, APIs and tests that keep behavior correct under load, retries and failure. You will build the MCP tools and agent context that agents rely on, and you will set the bar for what AI-written code must meet before it merges.
You will work hands-on, not from the sidelines, and you will own your work from design through production. You will also explain your trade-offs clearly to engineers, QA, operations and product, and bring them along with your decisions. The role is remote and on contract, with a globally distributed team. It suits an architect who reasons from first principles, uses AI tools daily with healthy skepticism, and is comfortable with open-ended problems.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Design systems that agents can operate
- Break legacy monoliths into modular systems with strict boundaries, single responsibility and clear contracts.
- Lead incremental modernization using the Strangler Pattern, wrapping legacy logic behind modern, contract-first interfaces.
- Design data models, keys and constraints from the queries and rules the system must always uphold, and enforce integrity in the database instead of leaving it only to application code.
- Apply SOLID principles, dependency injection and hexagonal architecture so AI-generated changes stay deterministic and regressions stay low.
- Design for real-world cases: simultaneous requests, retries and duplicate messages, partial failures, and changes to data that already exists.
Build the agent and MCP layer
- Build and maintain the agent context layer: shared skills, rules and commands for AI-driven engineering workflows.
- Build and run Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers that expose legacy APIs, services and databases as typed, permissioned, auditable tools.
- Own contract-first API design as the main interface between human intent and agent execution.
- Design agent loops with clear tools, permissions and stop conditions, and tune them for cost, speed and quality.
Keep AI-written code trustworthy
- Review AI-generated pull requests for correctness, security, scalability and maintainability. Check that tests assert real behavior and do not just pass.
- Require test-first development and characterization tests that preserve legacy behavior during refactoring.
- Set the review habits, checklists and guardrails that help the wider team use AI tools well, and know when not to use them.
Own outcomes and work across the business
- Take responsibility from design through production, including monitoring, incidents and follow-up.
- Ask the right questions up front, explain trade-offs in plain language, and bring product, QA and operations teams along with your decisions.
- Mentor engineers and set a consistent standard for design and code quality.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 6+ years in software architecture, platform engineering or technical leadership.
- Proven experience modernizing large, poorly documented legacy systems.
- Strong hands-on depth in TypeScript and Node.js, or in .NET. Depth in one is enough.
- Strong command of API design, relational data modeling, SQL, transactions and concurrency.
- Solid system design fundamentals: queues, caches, background workers, sync versus async, and what breaks first as load grows.
- Practical, day-to-day use of AI coding tools on real projects, with a deliberate workflow, a habit of verifying output and a clear view of the risks. Experience building agents, MCP servers or AI tooling is a strong plus.
- A bias toward clean code, tests first, deterministic systems and production-grade AI.
- Clear written and spoken communication, and the independence to work with little day-to-day oversight.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with remote-first or globally distributed teams.
- Background in SaaS transformations, scale-ups or private equity-backed environments.
- Comfort in high-ambiguity, high-ownership settings.
HOW WE HIRE
Expect an online assessment followed by technical conversations where you will reason through data models, queries and designs in plain language, and explain how you use AI tools in your own work. We are looking for sound thinking and honest answers, so please be ready to explain your own resume claims in detail.

Role & Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end architecture, system design, development, and production deployment of scalable, AI-powered applications.
- Architect and develop high-performance backend services using Node.js, NestJS, TypeScript, Express.js, and Go.
- Design scalable web applications using React.js and Next.js, and cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter and Dart.
- Design distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architectures, and real-time applications capable of handling massive data volumes and high concurrent traffic.
- Design and optimize PostgreSQL/MySQL databases, MongoDB, Redis caching, database indexing, transactions, and query performance.
- Build real-time ride-booking, driver-allocation, location-tracking, and proximity-based matching systems using geospatial technologies such as PostGIS.
- Design and implement REST APIs, WebSockets, secure authentication, authorization, RBAC, and third-party integrations.
- Build and integrate Generative AI applications, LLM-powered chatbots, AI agents, RAG pipelines, embeddings, vector databases, tool calling, and intelligent automation workflows.
- Develop AI and backend services using Python and integrate LLM platforms such as OpenAI, Claude, and Gemini.
- Architect secure payment integrations, transaction workflows, webhook processing, idempotency, and payment reconciliation.
- Design and implement cloud-native infrastructure using AWS, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and production monitoring tools.
- Ensure application security, scalability, reliability, performance, maintainability, and cost efficiency.
- Lead technical decision-making, code reviews, debugging, performance optimization, documentation, and mentoring of developers.
- Independently own critical engineering deliverables and drive products from concept and architecture through development, testing, deployment, and production support.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- 710+ years of software development experience, with substantial hands-on experience in technical architecture and production-grade application development.
- Expert-level proficiency in Node.js, NestJS, TypeScript, REST APIs, backend architecture, and microservices.
- Strong experience with React.js, Next.js, and modern frontend architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Flutter and Dart for Android and iOS application development.
- Proven experience designing scalable systems, handling large data volumes, concurrent workloads, and performance-critical applications.
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL, database design, indexing, query optimization, transactions, Redis, and geospatial systems.
- Practical experience building and deploying LLM-powered applications, AI agents, RAG systems, embeddings, vector search, and AI workflow automation.
- Proficiency in Python for AI integrations and backend services; Go language experience is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, application security, payment integrations, and secure API design.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, CI/CD, Git, production deployments, logging, and monitoring.
- Familiarity with Kafka/RabbitMQ, Kubernetes, LangChain/LlamaIndex, and event-driven architectures is an advantage.
- Exceptional system-design, analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong ownership, independent execution, technical leadership, communication, and mentoring abilities.
- Experience in startups or building products from scratch is highly desirable.
What We Expect
We are looking for a highly hands-on technical leader who can independently architect, design, develop, optimize, and deploy complex production systems. The ideal candidate must demonstrate genuine technical depth, strong engineering judgment, and the ability to lead end-to-end product development across backend, web, mobile, cloud, and AI technologies.

What is the role all about?
We're hiring full-stack engineers who build with AI, not the traditional way. You should be fluent in modern web engineering, primarily Node.js, and just as fluent in using LLMs and AI tools (Cursor, Claude Code, and similar) to ship fast. Work that once took a month should take a week; what took a week should take a day.
The role spans a range, from architecting backends for non-trivial products like assistants and agents, to rapidly turning a requirement into a clean, customer-facing app or MVP. Be strong in at least one area, be comfortable across the system as a whole, and tell us where you're strongest so we can place you accordingly.
What will you do?
- Plan, build, and ship product features end-to-end, with AI embedded where it has the most impact.
- Integrate LLMs and AI APIs into production-grade applications.
- Use AI tools to prototype, build, and deliver at high speed without sacrificing quality.
- Design scalable APIs and data models with Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB.
- Build responsive, performant, customer-facing interfaces with React/Next.js.
- Contribute to design discussions, code reviews, and architectural decisions.
What are we looking for?
AI leverage:
- You've shipped real things using LLMs or AI APIs and instinctively reach for AI to move faster.
- Comfortable with prompt engineering and judging AI output for production-readiness.
Engineering depth and delivery:
- Solid fundamentals: problem-solving, data structures, and how systems fit together.
- At least 2+ years across frontend (React/Next.js), APIs (Node.js/Express.js), and databases (MongoDB).
- You write clean, production-grade code and you ship.
- Knowledge of application security or ethical hacking is an advantage.
Culture
- Work with performance-oriented teams driven by ownership and passion.
- Learn to design systems for high accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
- No strict deadlines, focus on delivering quality work.
- Meritocracy-driven, candid culture. No politics.
- Very high visibility regarding which startups and markets are exciting globally.

About Technology Team
Tracxn's Technology team is 50+ members strong and growing. The technology team is subdivided into multiple smaller teams, each of which owns one or more services/components of the technology platform. Ours is a young team of motivated engineers with a minimal management structure, in which almost everyone is actively involved in technical development and design. We have a team-centric culture where ownership and responsibility for a feature or module lie with a team rather than an individual.
We work on an array of technologies, including but not limited to ReactJS, Next.js, Storybook, Webpack, Node, Mongo, AWS Lambda, Spring, Elastic Stack, MySQL, Kafka, Redis, Ansible, etc.
We value ownership, continuous learning, consistency, and discipline as a team.
About PowerTech Digital
PowerTech Digital is a UK software development and digital consultancy working with enterprise clients on digital transformation, data architecture, and AI-enabled delivery. We're a small, senior team that ships fast by pairing strong engineering judgement with AI-native tooling — and we're productising that approach.
Prompt to Production is our newest service: organisations empower their workforce to build applications on AI platforms like Lovable, Bolt, and Claude, and we take those applications to secure, production-grade deployments on the client's own cloud — their identity, their policies, their infrastructure. Every release goes through the same governed pipeline: handover → security audit → hardening → deployment. You would own that pipeline.
The role
This is a hybrid delivery-and-product role. Roughly two-thirds is running and improving the Prompt to Production service end to end; the rest is full-stack product engineering on client builds and our own tooling. You'll work directly with the founder, with real autonomy, modern AI tooling as standard, and a clear brief: make the service so repeatable that every deployment is execution, not invention.
What you'll do
- Run the deployment pipeline: take applications built by citizen developers from a GitHub handover through security audit, remediation, hardening, and release to Azure (AWS/GCP as we expand).
- Lead handover calls (30–60 min) with the people who built the apps — understanding what they made, what it touches, and who needs access.
- Execute AI-assisted security audits using Claude Code against our published checklist — auth and authorisation, RLS policies, secrets handling, data exposure, dependency vulnerabilities — and produce our standardised audit report.
- Implement production hardening: migrate authentication to Microsoft Entra ID (tenant-locked app registrations), move secrets into Azure Key Vault, configure CI/CD with GitHub Actions and OIDC federated credentials.
- Own and improve the infrastructure templates (Bicep/Terraform + cloud-init): per-app resource groups, self-hosted Supabase stacks, automated backups to Blob Storage, monitoring with Application Insights.
- Operate live tier 2 stacks: updates, backup verification, restore tests, secret rotation.
- Build product: full-stack features on client engagements and internal tooling — including AI integration work (LLM APIs, agents, structured extraction, evals).
- Make the service better every cycle: tighten the audit checklist, automate the manual steps, improve the templates. Your job is to make your own job smaller.
What you must bring
- 3–6 years as a full-stack engineer with Node.js and TypeScript/React at the core — you're genuinely strong at building product, not just gluing services.
- Must have experience managing and maintaining self-hosted Supabase
- PostgreSQL in production; Supabase experience (RLS, auth, migrations, edge functions) is a significant advantage.
- Real Docker/Compose ownership and CI/CD you've built yourself (GitHub Actions preferred).
- Cloud fundamentals — ideally Azure (VMs, networking, Key Vault, Entra ID); strong AWS/GCP experience with willingness to go deep on Azure also works.
- AI integration experience in shipped products — you've built with LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI), understand prompting, structured outputs, and where AI belongs (and doesn't) in a product.
- Security instincts: you think about what an app exposes before you think about what it does.
- Excellent written and spoken English — you'll run client-facing calls and write reports that IT directors file.
The mindset we're hiring for
Product engineering, not ticket-taking. You ask why before how, you'd rather delete a step than document it, you treat every deployment as a chance to improve the system that does deployments, and you're comfortable being the person accountable for something working in production. You already use AI tools as a force multiplier in your daily work — this role assumes it.
Nice to have
- Bicep or Terraform in anger; Linux server administration.
- Experience with AI app builders (Lovable, Bolt, v0) — even personal projects.
- Security certifications or OWASP familiarity; AZ-104/AZ-204.
- Experience working directly with clients or stakeholders in a consultancy setting.
Logistics & compensation
- Remote-first. Significant overlap with UK working hours required.
- Competitive compensation based on location and experience. [Adjust per market — e.g. ₹18–28 LPA for India-based candidates; contractor or EOR arrangement available.]
- Direct exposure to the full commercial picture of a productised service — how it's priced, sold, and scaled.
