We are looking for a capable and dynamic Senior DevOps engineer to help setup, maintain and scale the infrastructure operations. This Individual will have the challenging responsibility of channelling our IT infrastructure and offering customer services with stringent international standard levels of service quality. This individual will leverage the latest IT tools to automate and streamline the delivery of our services while implementing industry-standard processes and knowledge management.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Infrastructure and Deployment Automation: Design, implement, and maintain automation for infrastructure

provisioning and application deployment. Own the CI/CD pipelines and ensure they are efficient, reliable, and

scalable.

- System Monitoring and Performance: -Take ownership of monitoring systems and ensure the health and

performance of the infrastructure. Proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks and system issues.

- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Manage cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and optimize resource

usage. Implement cost-saving measures while maintaining scalability and reliability.

- Configuration Management: Manage configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef) to ensure

consistency across environments. Automate configuration changes and updates.

- Security and Compliance: Own security policies, implement best practices, and ensure compliance with industry

standards. Lead efforts to secure infrastructure and applications, including patch management and access controls.

- Collaboration with Development and Operations Teams: Foster collaboration between development and

operations teams, promoting a DevOps culture. Be the go-to person for resolving cross-functional infrastructure

issues and improving the development process.

- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures. Ensure

business continuity in the event of system failures or other disruptions.

- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations,

processes, and best practices. Share knowledge and mentor junior team members.

- Technical Leadership and Innovation: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies. Lead efforts

to introduce new tools and technologies that enhance DevOps practices.

- Problem Resolution and Troubleshooting: Be responsible for diagnosing and resolving complex issues related to

infrastructure and deployments. Implement preventive measures to reduce recurring problems.

Requirements:

● B.E / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech / MCA / M.Sc.IT (if not should be able to demonstrate required skills)

● Overall 3+ years of experience in DevOps and Cloud operations specifically in AWS.

● Experience with Linux Administrator

● Experience with microservice architecture, containers, Kubernetes, and Helm is a must

● Experience in Configuration Management preferably Ansible

● Experience in Shell Scripting is a must

● Experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD processes using tools like Gitlab, Jenkins

● Experience in logging, monitoring and analytics

● An Understanding of writing Infrastructure as a Code using tools like Terraform

● Preferences - AWS, Kubernetes, Ansible

Must Have:

● Knowledge of AWS Cloud Platform.

● Good experience with microservice architecture, Kubernetes, helm and container-based technologies

● Hands-on experience with Ansible.

● Should have experience in working and maintaining CI/CD Processes.

● Hands-on experience in version control tools like GIT.

● Experience with monitoring tools such as Cloudwatch/Sysdig etc.

● Sound experience in administering Linux servers and Shell Scripting.

● Should have a good understanding of IT security and have the knowledge to secure production environments (OS and server software).

Responsibilities

• Implement various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure
• Design, build and automate the AWS infrastructure (VPC, EC2, Networking, EMR, RDS, S3, ALB, Cloud Front, etc.) using Terraform
• Manage end-to-end production workloads hosted on Docker and AWS
• Automate CI pipeline using Groovy DSL
• Deploy and configure Kubernetes clusters (EKS)
• Design and build a CI/CD Pipeline to deploy applications using Jenkins and Docker

Eligibility

• At least 8 years of proven experience in AWS-based DevOps/cloud engineering and implementations
• Expertise in all common AWS Cloud services like EC2, EKS, S3, VPC, Lambda, API Gateway, ALB, Redis, etc.
• Experience in deploying and managing production environments in Amazon AWS
• Strong experience in continuous integration and continuous deployment
• Knowledge of application build, deployment, and configuration using one of the tools: Jenkins

Requirements

Core skills:

● Strong background in Linux / Unix Administration and

troubleshooting

● Experience with AWS (ideally including some of the following:

VPC, Lambda, EC2, Elastic Cache, Route53, SNS, Cloudwatch,

Cloudfront, Redshift, Open search, ELK etc.)

● Experience with Infra Automation and Orchestration tools

including Terraform, Packer, Helm, Ansible.

● Hands on Experience on container technologies like Docker,

Kubernetes/EKS, Gitlab and Jenkins as Pipeline.

● Experience in one or more of Groovy, Perl, Python, Go or

scripting experience in Shell.

● Good understanding of with Continuous Integration(CI) and

Continuous Deployment(CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins,

FlexCD, ArgoCD, Spinnaker etc

● Working knowledge of key value stores, database technologies

(SQL and NoSQL), Mongo, mySQL

● Experience with application monitoring tools like Prometheus,

Grafana, APM tools like NewRelic, Datadog, Pinpoint

● Good exposure on middleware components like ELK, Redis, Kafka

and IOT based systems including Redis, NewRelic, Akamai,

Apache / Nginx, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus etc

Good to have:

● Prior experience in Logistics, Payment and IOT based applications

● Experience in unmanaged mongoDB cluster, automations &

operations, analytics

● Write procedures for backup and disaster recovery

Core Experience

● 3-5 years of hands-on DevOps experience

● 2+ years of hands-on Kubernetes experience

● 3+ years of Cloud Platform experience with special focus on

Lambda, R53, SNS, Cloudfront, Cloudwatch, Elastic Beanstalk,

RDS, Open Search, EC2, Security tools

● 2+ years of scripting experience in Python/Go, shell

● 2+ years of familiarity with CI/CD, Git, IaC, Monitoring, and

Logging tools

Key Responsibilities

•        As a part of the DevOps team, you will be responsible for configuration, optimization, documentation, and support of the CI/CD components.

•        Experience of writing automation scripts with PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.

•        GitHub, JIRA, Confluence, and Continuous Integration (CI) system.

•        Understanding of secure DevOps practices

Good to Have -

•        Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash

•        Experience with project management and workflow tools such as Agile, Jira, Scrum/Kanban, etc.

•        Experience with Build technologies and cloud services. (Jenkins, TeamCity, Azure DevOps, Bamboo, AWS Code Deploy)

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer (individual contributor) to maintain and build upon our next-generation infrastructure. We aim to ensure that our systems are secure, reliable and high-performing by constantly striving to achieve best-in-class infrastructure and security by:

• Leveraging a variety of tools to ensure all configuration is codified (using tools like Terraform and Flux) and applied in a secure, repeatable way (via CI)
• Routinely identifying new technologies and processes that enable us to streamline our operations and improve overall security
• Holistically monitoring our overall DevOps setup and health to ensure our roadmap constantly delivers high-impact improvements
• Eliminating toil by automating as many operational aspects of our day-to-day work as possible using internally created, third party and/or open-source tools
• Maintain a culture of empowerment and self-service by minimizing friction for developers to understand and use our infrastructure through a combination of innovative tools, excellent documentation and teamwork

Tech stack: Microservices primarily written in JavaScript, Kotlin, Scala, and Python. The majority of our infrastructure sits within EKS on AWS, using Istio. We use Terraform and Helm/Flux when working with AWS and EKS (k8s). Deployments are managed with a combination of Jenkins and Flux. We rely heavily on Kafka, Cassandra, Mongo and Postgres and are increasingly leveraging AWS-managed services (e.g. RDS, lambda).

• 5+ years hands-on experience with designing, deploying and managing core AWS services and infrastructure
• Proficiency in scripting using Bash, Python, Ruby, Groovy, or similar languages 
• Experience in source control management, specifically with Git
• Hands-on experience in Unix/Linux and bash scripting
• Experience building, managing Helm-based build and release CI-CD pipelines for Kubernetes platforms (EKS, Openshift, GKE) 
• Strong experience with orchestration and config management tools such as Terraform, Ansible or Cloudformation  
• Ability to debug, analyze issues leveraging tools like App Dynamics, New Relic and Sumologic 
• Knowledge of Agile Methodologies and principles
