Embedded Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop or enhance features to meet industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
• Collaborate with Business stakeholders to understand Business Requirements
• Work closely with hardware engineers, QA, and Scrum Master to integrate software solutions into embedded systems.
• Identify Problems and resolve technical issues within embedded systems, making critical decisions on system architecture and software design.
• Strive towards Improving Processes, system performance, optimize code and innovate in software design.
• Work closely with vendors to design and implement edge AI solutions

Requirements:

• Must have done B.Tech/B.E preferably in ECE stream
• Must have Proficiency in Python/C/C++, Go Lang, Scripting in Bash
• Must have Strong Fundamentals on Embedded Development Life cycle
• Must have Strong knowledge on Embedded Linux, Unix/Linux commands, RTOS and SQL
• Sound knowledge of CAN/J1939 protocol, Sensor Data Processing and Telemetry
• Experience with tools like JIRA and Agile/Scrum methodology
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize work effectively
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have:

• Understanding of ADAS, Driver Monitoring Systems
• Experience with embedded video coupled with edge AI

Required Skills:

• 4+ years of experience in embedded software development.
• 2 - 4 years of hands-on experience in C/C++ programming.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP internals and common network protocols such as DHCP, DNS, IPV4/IPV6, NAT
• In-depth knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols (Ethernet, IP, TCP/UDP, MPLS, BGP, OSPF)
• In-depth knowledge of RDK-B architecture, TR-069/TR-181, and networking stacks
• Work on TR-069, TR-181 data models, and DOCSIS / DSL / GPON technologies
• Experience and knowledge on IEEE802.11/Wi-Fi protocols such as WPA, RADIUS, WPS, 802.11n/ac/ax/be, mesh networking

JD For Embedded C Engineer requirements :

Mandatory Skillsets are as below :

1. Embedded SW development background

2. Embedded C/C++/

3. Hands-on experience in RTOS Programming.

4. Working knowledge of SDLC and methodologies/tools for requirement management.

5. Experience working in an agile development environment.

Role and Responsibility:

 Developing firmware for robust embedded system devices

 Active involvement in designing architecture, communication protocols & selection of technology.

 Designing test cases and active participation in testing

 Team building and grooming new members.

Candidate Skill Set:

 Thorough knowledge and hands on experience of Embedded C programming.

 Experience of firmware development on multiple microcontroller families like AVR, MSP430, STM32,

Renesas, etc.

 Strong programming & debugging skills.

 Knowledge of IDE’s like Keil, AVR Studio, IAR, Cubesuit will be an added advantage.

 Hands on experience of working on wireless communication (BLE, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, LoRa, GSM/ GPRS)

 Bachelor's/ master’s degree in electronics related discipline or equivalent experience

 Experience of 1-3 years

• Hands-on embedded C skills (mandatory)
• Experience with any microcontrollers MCU (mandatory) – Renesas/ Infineon/ Cypress/ ST-Micro /TI / Microchip
• Experience with any of peripherals & communication protocols usage in application development (mandatory) – UART, I2C, SPI, I2S, CAN, USB, ADC, DAC, EEPROM, Flash memory
• Experience with any RTOS – FreeRTOS, Azure RTOS, ThreadX
• Experience with any networking &  connectivity modules (preferred & added advantage) – Ethernet, WiFi, BLE, MQTT, COAP

• Would be working on Development and Production Support of Email Mx Product which uses email protocols  (POP, IMAP, and SMTP) developed on C, C++ technology on Linux Platform.

• Protocols they get to learn:   POP, IMAP, and SMTP and also any and every communication happening in Email Platform

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, Roles and responsibilties:

• BS/MS in Computer Engineering or related technology field
• 10+ Years of Experience in Software Development
• Experience in  writing code for embedded systems, Proficient in C/C++ coding and intel DPDK
• Understanding of network interface drivers
• Experience with VMware, AWS, MSAzure, Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of micro services and containerization
• Experience in building Networking Security Products
• Knowledge of Networking, TCP/IP Protocol Suite
• Design, code embedded features/solutions for the ShieldX Product
• Design write, extend and troubleshoot datapath code for switching, routing, NAT, TCP and TLS
• Work closely with other development , Product and Test Teams

• BS/MS in Computer Engineering or related technology field
• Excellent communication and Team player skills
• Should be a self-starter and be able to adopt to dynamic fast-paced environment.
